Default Recommendations for local shops to do the "basics"?

Hey guys,

I know similar thread like this exists but I think the questions was related to just tuners in our area.

Anyway, my questions is what are some decent shops (either specializing in our lovely Nissan's or not) that are reputable to do the "basics" (specifically in the greater Seattle area)?

If you are wondering what I mean, I'm talking about getting an exhaust installed, suspension work, help with wheels/offsets, brake kits, etc. I've been reading the forums for awhile and I know our area has nothing like Cali or the East coast in terms of Performance shops but I'm not after that at the moment. I'm hoping for a word of mouth recommendation from a fellow Z/G owner who has had some of these done by a shop.

I'd love to try and do these things on my own but due to my location and not having a garage of my own (or the time) has prevented me from going the DIY route.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

I'd recommend a couple of my buddies, that are ASE certified Toyota master techs. They can do anything, and have access to 2 private shops with lift and everything. They've now done a Vortech 350Z, a Vortech G35, 2 Stillen S/C G35's, and even offered warranties on those installs. Of course they can also handle any suspension, brake, and exhaust related work. They do alot of these sidejobs for way less than the dealership or a normal shop.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I'm aware of worldone but thought they were primarily a Subie shop. Didn't realize they were putting some turbo's on a Z at the moment, hope it turns out well. I've heard people mention DriftOffice but only like once or twice.

Triple8Sol - When I have money/parts/gameplan gathered I might PM you in regards to your friends. Sounds like they have the knowledge and resources to hook it up.

Thanks!

Sure, just let me know when the time comes. As you can imagine, they mostly work on Toyotas/Lexus(es?) and they're very busy guys. However, there's 3 of them, so you'll be able to get something scheduled with one of them. I only listed their Nissan/Infiniti related experience, and forgot to add that they have performed 15K and 30K services as well.

Hey Pat,
Two things, first off, I saw your G today south of Safeco, were you @ the game? Also, do your friends do turbos? I'm saving up for a TN single setup right now and though its a way off, I want to get it done by someone who knows their stuff.

What twins are you having installed there? Yea Driftoffice > Worldone...I spoke with them about 6 months ago about going aps TT and they had never done any sort of FI on a 350z/G35. How much are you paying for labor?

They've definitely done some turbo work. A Hachi, Supra, S4, IS300, Eclipses, etc...

Did you hear the hissing? Or was it parked?

wow lol almost same setup as me, except i got thecjm stage 2. Same injectors, I got a CM flywheel and stage4 clutch and defi blackface amber gauges. awesome! We are almost the same.

I have a question, did you buy the defi fuel pressure gauge for inside the car? If so, I think you should consider getting a different gauge as the fuel pressure regulator has a gauge on it already that you can view inside the engine bay, unless you really want to view it while driving. I would suggest oil pressure or oil temp instead.

Did you get a wideband?

It was parked, in kind of an alley. I was looking for a place to park, cuz I'm cheap, but I ended up having to pay 20 bucks.
