Wait, so the guy you steaked out bought them from another guy who sold them on CL for $1k?

I bet the guy that you steaked out was, infact, the guy that stole them. He's probably sending the cops on a wild goose chase because he doesn't want to get busted for theft. And you know what? If you can't link that guy to your car or the theft itself, he'll walk. You have your wheels back, the police don't have enough evidence... case closed. It's unfortunate but congrats on getting your wheels back.

probably did send them on a wild goose chase, but maybe not, he gave a name and e-mail address to the detective, and the detective believes that he is being truthful.

I call BS on buying them from CL, I check CL daily for g35/350z parts, and I didn't see your wheels listed ever. I think you've found your theif.

I check CL almost daily, as well, and I never saw these on there, either. You found your guy!
