2/23 Northwest Nissans and Unnatural inc Dyno Day 2/23
update= not looking good for me on this one. my laptop (it's like 6 years old, lol.) isn't able to communicate with the haltech for some reason. hence, can't load base map to get the car running to make it to get it tuned for sat. havn't given up though. my be able to tow it. worried about damage though.
well did make it to rrev motorsports today, but ran out of time on it. boost controller and wastegate issues and time led to just a tune to about 10psi. no more dyno for me till these couple issues are figured out. may swing out for the heck of it though and show it off!!! lol
I went, and and even though it was a Nissan meet, there were more Honda's, Acura's, and Toyota's there then Nissans. There were even a couple of WRX's there.
People posted on other boards and didn't bother to say it was a Nissan meet.
Best car there was a Skyline GT-R. Nice car!
I met Sno and Ruff Z, and it turns out I've know Ruff Z for sevral years; a gaming buddy.
First my window switch stop working Friday when I was testing everything, so I had to unhook it and run the nitrous without it.
Then my UTEC went crazy on me on the Dyno.
The tuner there said it was my UTEC because my graph was all over.
Every pass looked like an earthquake was being registered on the graph, instead of HP and torque.
Even with the map switch set at 0, we couldn't make a pull like it should.
The best pull was the first pass with a 75hp shot of nitrous at 289/315. Then it just went down from there.
The last pass we made without nitrous and it only pulled a 213/211. He's sure it was due to the UTEC failing. It wouldn't hold steady.
So I'm going to reflash it and hope it solves the problem, or bag it and get a new one.
It was a good day though. Saw some nice cars there.

Yeah, that Skyline and 300 sittin in the corner were the two best cars. They were saying the 300 was going to take a pull but I didn't stick around long enough to see it. The funniest part was the guy with a B18 in his civic that ran 158hp with +23 degrees timing.
It must of been that 300Z TT that had the 597hp pull.
It pulled in with the Skyline. Both were nice rides.
I left the same time as Sno, so I missed the 300Z on the dyno.
I just wish my UTEC hadn't crapped out on me.

got too wrapped up in working on the car and didn't make it out. oh well, there will be many more chances.
jason is the guy with the 300tt and the skyline. he was over dynoing the 300tt at rrev fri just before mine went on.

I ended up putting down 260whp/242 lb ft with a basically untuned u-tec, catless test pipes, and nismo catback (06 Z).
It was nice metting you Sno, and running into you again Gary. Sorry I couldn't stay longer and talk to you guys more. Hope to see you all around.

We missed you Scott! I was hoping to see another Nissan lay down some numbers. BTW we found that intake manifold leak and should be back on the Dyno this week. I'll let you know how she does at 30lbs.

i had a w/g stick open, then the e-01 profec was tripping. mostly because i had the non-profec version card in it, oops. other than that, the car had just been assembled with no testing or tweaking or anything before getting to johns, so it faired pretty good considering all that was done. will be back over at johns late next week or so. final move in for the roadster show is thursday night, so i have been working my azz off for that. car is looking GOOD though.
let me know what that 300z throws down!
