- In-laws FTW!

*when they first got it, I was disappointed b/c it's an automatic...but after taking it autoXing and through some mountain roads, I'm really impressed w/ the feel of it - it doesn't have the acceleration as the Z, but handling and brakes more than make up for it.

shouldn't be too hard...my Z would probably be faster on a track layout compared to the Boxster - the power difference is too much to make up on the straights...but my general feel was that the boxster would likely be faster at autoX than my Z

where'd you get this schedule?? I was confirmed and then sent in my check...but I've yet to receive any official info on the times. (this is my general experience w/ the NW-Alpha club...a bit disorganized / slow to respond, but very good once you get there)

hey everyone,

noobish question:
when i'm changing out my brake fluid, do i wanna drain all of it, then refill and bleed it? or do i basically bleed it out and keep refilling the reservoir till the fluid is nice and clear?

the later...if you drain it all out first, you're much more likely to get air bubbles stuck in there and just keep flushing it until them come out.

It can be a PITA if you're doing it by yourself, but there's tools that help to pressurize the brake reservoir so that you don't need someone pushing on the brake pedal (I had one...but it's currently broken)

I got that schedule on the nwalfaclub site somewhere... I think under lapping day category but it mentions the school also operates under that schedule.

Nah, that won't fly w/ them. I tried once and ended up wearing some gardening gloves that I had as a backup. Just go down to the hardware store and by some gloves that are leather or cotton.

yeah - I had the same issue w/ gloves last yr when I did 1 of their events...I ended up just buying a set of "racing" gloves

I'm leaving from Newcastle/Bellevue - where would you want to meet up? It's about a 1hr 15min drive (no traffic and 70-75 MPH). I don't plan to get there too early...I don't have much to set up.

I won't be able to make it. Have some suspension (coilover) issues/adjustments to sort out before I can do any aggressive driving.

Which way you going first350? Taking ferry or just driving the whole way?

ah its not too much further to drive, probably cheaper too since ferry is pretty expensive. Ill just drive as well. You guys want to convoy or what?

I'm meeting up with some guys early tomorrow - I'll be leaving from Starbucks in Tukwilla/southcenter at 6:20am...if you wanna caravan, get there sometime before 6:20 and we can head out together.

180th & W Valley Hwy - Kent
18115 71st Ave S
Kent, WA 98032
425-251-3267

-I'm driving...it's not that far and you don't have to wait for the ferry. You now have to pay toll coming back over the Tacoma Narrows bridge...something like $3. I'll head down 167, take 18 WB to I-5, then across the bridge. I've been there several times - it's not to hard to find, but it can be easy to miss a turn or 2.

*I'll probably just bring a simply socket/wrench set, some duct tape and zip ties...that can usually fix anything!

**I'll PM you guys my cell.
