Default Valve body upgrade

Has anyone local upgraded their valve body? Seem to be reading favorable posts.

Been looking around but can only find the Transgo kit....maybe they're the only manufacturer.

The scope of work seems beyond my comfort zone. Would anyone be able to recommend a local shop for the job?

Ordered the Transgo kit from Forged Performance...thanks Sharif.

I've received a few shop referrals from friends but no one that drives a Z.

So does anyone here have any kind of local transmission shop experience at all? Fluid & filter? Anyone?

I think there's a company called "Transtar Instudstries" that is the official distributor of the Transgo "reprogramming" kits. I found a Transtar Industries shop in Lynnwood a while back, but it appears that the transtarindustries.com website is down.

You made a good choice though. Lots of people have been using the transgo VB with good results, which is probably why GTM and Forged use them. I believe SGP uses their own VB upgrade, but no one ever answered me whether or not they just outsource the work and use a transgo kit too.

Best of luck! When I'm not poor (in many years) I'll slap my vortech on and get the same VB.
