Default Looking for some advise from some vet's!

Couple of quick question's, I just installed a set of helix test pipes and I keep geting a gas smell. Im runing stock y pipe, stock cat back, helix test pipes and a k&n typhoon intake. Is is safe to run this setup without a tune? Also i double checked all my gaskets and o2 bung for any leaks, but i still smell gas. Any ides as to what i can do to not smell it every time i stop?

its gotta be a leak from one of the gaskets or a crack. i highly doubt an o2 bung would produce a noticable smell unless it was totally missing...

Test pipes smell...especially if oiled or otherwise coated....did you use o2 sensors in install, or how'd you do it?

What you are smelling, is called exhaust fumes. Welcome to test pipes. If you can't live with it, reinstall the stock cats or try high-flow ones.

I thought about going that route, but what's the power difference between test pipe's and high flow cat's.

hard to say for certain, but I imagine HFC's get about 80% of the gains test pipes get.
