1982 manta mirage build

thanks man. it is turning into quite an investment now though over just 6 weeks. it is becoming not only the proverbial "what ever can go wrong will" but a reality of it. once this little *** sucker gets done failing every old part, it should be solid to start the real build!

so, in other words, now a new fuse block is in order.
i am trying to make reason of how bad this car is swinging off my *****. there really is not many other parts left to fail. most of the wiring is the same color, and making problems very hard to trace.

the uprights i am using for the suspension are from the C5 corvette. why you ask? well so it will have the capability for wheel speed sensors. i will be running a haltech ecu and can input the signals for traction control. thats one fix.
the throttle pedal has alot of throw in it. in other words, easy to modulate the throttle manually. second, the rear tires are about the widest street tires you can get. third, inertia is on my side to get the car moving quickly with less stress on the tires grip. fourth, i will end up at about 65-70% of all the cars weight on those massive rear tires and a properly designed rear suspension will toss in even a little more weight transfer. add it all up and you have a car that gets retarded traction!
or, just don't floor it everywhere! ha i am a firm believer in having too much is better than not enough. the turbos will have a technology behind them also called "boost controllers" where i can tone it down if i wanted.

ya, i do abit from time to time. i will bring this thing to a meet sometime though and you may forget all about it as i have, lol. this thing is taking alot of work to get it the way i want it, but when done it will be a pretty well rounded car and the performance should be nothing less than "mudding up your undies"!
