I bought this awhile ago from a G owner. I originally wanted to take a shot at reflashing my very early G sedan ecu. But it looks like it's not possible. (I'll have to send my ecu to Technosquare if I want any reflashing done which is a royal pain but I have no choice) I never even put the cd into laptop. You will have to have it relicensed for approx $50 and from what I understand, it will come with 1 std flash and I think one free email flash. I've confirmed in the turning forum that if a Z owner buys this, they can have the flash for their year Z vs the G as part of the relicense fee.
Not only do you get both at the price of just the reflash, you'll be getting the ability to scan/clear OBDII related trouble codes on your car and your friends (provided they have a G35/350z/Titan etc....). You can also have the ability to datalog your engine for referenc and for possible e-tunes later. Thus avoiding the need to pay for dyno time. Especially handy if your car is wideband 02 equipped (05+)

$475. I'll consider non-locals if they happen to see this thread but you'll have to pay shipping. I'd rather give the NW locals a crack at this.

I encourage you to contact UpRev for exact details when you purchase these units "used". I did confirm with the previous seller that they reflashed their ecu to stock and unregistered it from their car 1st. This isn't just the Cipher, it's the Osiris and Cipher. Alot of guys here buy the reflash and decide they don't want the great OBDII nissan specialized diagnostics capability. They then just sell the cable and cd as a Cipher only. This is again both.

this can cost you 700$ elsewhere I believe, to get osiris standard+cipher.

I believe if you meet up with jeff, grab the serial number from cipher, and call uprev and verify that the license has been transfered back to the cable, you are good to go. I also believe the e-tune maps are 50$ a pop, but I would suggest going to intec racing in kent and having lawrence dyno tune you some custom maps.

pretty good deal from a good guy. you can always call uprev to verify how the transaction should occur in advance. their customer service is kick ***.

Not sure of your mods or plans but the cipher by itself is $300. The most basic/cheap flash system Uprev has is their Osiris Flash Service which you have to send in your ecu for a one time flash. That's $400.

Or the Standard which comes with both the Osris and Cipher for $700 as Entallie mentioned.

this way you get both for $475 obo. Technically you don't get 3 mail in email flashes like the Standard but it's not $700 either. Most guys usually get one flash anyway. It's $50 for the relicense but that's no big deal.

 

I've already got a custom tune with Osiris from a local Protuner but don't have cipher.
Just thought it'd be cool to have and tinker with...

 

Got one bite here and a few on Driver when Iposted it today. I'll post on the national section here when I get a pic of it tonight.

I'd still entertain a local buyer and extend a local price.

Iv'e confirmed that the cable is unmarried from the previous owner. If anyone is still interested, might as well chime to get in line. Of course I'd have to offer to those that have chimed in on the G forum(and here) but you never know.
