WTB: USED non-stock brakes/rotors
I was told by my mechanic that I "NEED" new front brakes (screw buying from the dealership)
So, I thought I should just get a new setup (if anyone is parting out their car, or is strapped)
Yeah, good times.

A grand "might" get you into an oem brembo set if you find the deal of the century.
If you are 03-05, you can upgrade to the 05+ oem 12.6" rotor 2 piston oem fronts and bigger rears for $500. That should get you good rotors, pads, calipers and a set of ss lines.

Sounds like a good plan, so, anybody got that?

i know a guy who owns a powder coating business (not super well, but enough) who gives me a pretty good deal. you could get those calipers, tear em apart, fix em up a little, powder coat them, rebuild them and you'd be great. hell if you tear all the lines and pistons out i'll do all the cosmetic work for you no charge (i get bored at work).
or you could check evo and sti forums. a guy i work with got some stock brembos from an evo (just slightly larger surface area than z/g brembos) for like $450, but it was only the front pair.
