I don't think Pete is an option anymore lol. Les at VTR does really clean installs, I would check with them as you shop around.

Car toys is alright, I've dealt with them on several occasions, just try to find a young guy because the old dudes try to screw you, not literally... that I'm aware of.

I used to work at Best Buy, just quit like 2 weeks ago (The one in Lacey) and the guys in there are really good with their installs. They will always troubleshoot afterwords is something goes wrong, lifetime warranty with the install as well so that's always a plus. Anyways, depends... But that's where I'd go...

And if you want nice top notch custom jobs try and ask for Kevin or Ian.

Best Buy installers are like 15 and are usually only basic certified.
If I were to go to Best Buy to get anything installed Id go to:
Best Buy Federal Way: Pat Murphy ONLY
Best Buy Tukwila: Pat Carbalito ONLY
But in my opinion I would go to tukwila Car Toys and have Mar do it (he drives a 04 g35 coupe with a full do luck kit and knows these cars inside and out. Hes also worked there for 14years...any best buy installers you know do that?)
Or federal way car toys and work with Phil Tweet (huge christian lol) If you go to cartoys tell them you were referred from infiniti of fife/kirkland (youll get a wholesale discount)

i got mine at intec. its the top of the line viper (not sure of the exact model name). got remote start, window roll down and up, pop trunk, pop gas tank cap, if windows are down and i activate the alarm/lock the car, they automatically roll up...

clean install, took a day (along with a navi install), haven't had any issues with it, I've had it for a few months now...

Actually, both the installers I mentioned are MECP certified, Kevin specifically has alot more experience and does an amazing job (And he's 22...). Yeah, the Viper alarms are awesome, if you have an Iphone you can pick up a higher Viper Alarm and Remote start combo and start it from your phone.. Heh.

That's if you want to be over the top, but... There you go.

And don't worry, Kevin will take care of your 'baby'. They have an older customer come in with his ZR1 and his wife's Z06 to get work done all the time, fully customized alarms, placed audio systems, the works...

MECP certification is no big accomplishment, unless its the master cert. i had one right out of hs and have forgot nearly everything i learned (and lost the study book so i can't relearn lol). and i'm sorry to put your friend on blast, but at 22 he can really only have about 5 years experience at most. if he were really accomplished at mobile electronic installation, why does he work at beat buy where the do no custom enclosures or fabrication. nothing against your friend, just best buy sucks. i do more custom work in my garage than they do (no alarms though ).

I know it's not an amazing accomplishment but it's better than nothing, and this is somebody that DOES do it every day. (Well, did from 19 till now) He works there part time now, he was the Technician supervisor, until the whole BBY restructure and now works on government vehicles. Like I said though, I've got good personal experience, it's just a recommendation, whichever one is closest to you that's referred to by a member of this forum is probably one of the best options in lieu of driving further distances.

sup guys.. im back lol

was banned for a week for double posting or some sort haha..

anywaise got the alarm installed at CAR STEREO PLUS

i would give them TWO THUMBS UP! awsome! kinda pricy but i learned the hard way you get what you pay for.

i orignally got the alarm installed at INTEC RACING in kent. but they EPIC FAILED on the install and couldnt get the doors to lock lol. and the list continues on the horriable work they did. including scratch my car. but they did pay for the repairs. but then again i had no car for 2 days.

in the end intec racing gave me a full refund! BUT then again... their check bounced...... lol

damn, sucks about your experience at intec, not saying your wrong or anything, but i didn't have any of those problems. everything worked from the first try and still works. and they did it all in one day...

yeah, I am a bit surprised by that too. I had intec do a couple of things for me (swap spark plugs / valve cover), + ecu flash and dyno tune. they were great for me.

not saying you are wrong either. just surprised is all, they seem like a top quality shop and I would use them more often if they were closer to me
