Default Your thoughts on...

I'm seeking your guys' thoughts on something such as;

http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/?id=3686

and

http://www.sportcompactonly.com/Niss...03.htm#details

The access port is obviously a good idea, but have you guys ever heard anything negative about this particular brand? I can afford it now, and 7% hp gain is nice, plus it will be useful in the future...

The ProCharger supercharger has a pretty decent price tag on it, although I'm not sure I'm ready to spend 5500 bucks on it just yet... I know it would be so sweet even baby jesus would want it, but its not exactly cheap, and its not exactly going to be an easy sell to the wife...

Any thoughts?

I'd go uprev since they have better maps for the Nissan and there's a dyno shop down in kent that can handle custom tunes(Intec Racing). And there is at least one Z or G guy selling his Vortech SC on craigslist. Which Lawrence down at Intec could probably handle.

I've got a Cobb for sale if you go that way. Already have a copy of Tuner Race with it.

The Cobb is a great tool and the SC is a nice turbo alternative for less money. I know the guys at Maxwell Power Services can tune with the Cobb.

+1 on Osiris. Talk to Lawrence at Intec and he'll hook you up with a nice custom tune.

If you really want a supercharger get a vortech instead... but I recommend twins

How much for your cobb tuner?

Also, I found a turbo... not sure if it will fit... anybody have input?

http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/pts/1477046233.html

300 bucks is a good deal- especially if I can piece a turbo setup together instead of all at once. I can rebuild it if its screwed up, but yeah... just wanted to know if it will fit.

if you're gonna piece together a setup i can get you a discount on just the turbo. lmk when you decide which type you're gonna want. also, you can't rebuild a ball bearing turbo efficiently. none of the manufactures sell replacement bearing kits, so all the places that will rebuild one (all are out of state) source poor quality chinese bearings. their tolerances aren't ever in spec to what the should be, and won't last as long as a result. the only way to "rebuild" a ball bearing turbo is to get a new cartridge. if you get a journal bearing turbo, i can rebuild it for you for pretty cheap. pm me when you're ready.
