Default Looking for a good Paint shop that does good job on aftermarket parts

Hello.

This question has been asked 100s of times already but most of the threads are quite old and others don't give enough information.

So I have to ask again.

I'm looking for a body/paint shop that does good job on Poly aftermarket parts (front bumper) in Tacoma-Renton area.

I have been front ended today (guy backed into me at the intersection) and I'm in need of some paint.

Last shop I went to was a high end shop in tacoma (that painted my bumper originally) but they were not that good with aftermarket poly parts.
They matched up the color (Ivory Pearl) quite well but did a terrible job on prepping. Paint was absorbed into the bumper in some spots and flaked off in others.

So I need a shop that does a good job on color matching since it's a 3 stage color and knows how to prep aftermarket poly bumpers.

Thanks in advance for you suggestions.

Seems like we need a sticky that lists local shops and experiences.

I heard Lakes body shop in Lakewood does pretty good work. Might want to check them out.

It`s a little out of your way but My friend and I really like Juanita Auto Rebuild in Kirkland. You might have to pay a bit more then normal place but they are very very excellent.

Ive used http://www.paramountcentre.com/ in fife and it was AMAZING!

Ive also used http://www.thoroughbredcc.com/ and they were goodish. I had an issue but they fixed it whereas paramount did it right the first time.

Paramount did my 06 DG g35. Thoroughbred did my s2000 Black.

I used Paramount Center when I painted my Nismo for the first time.

I was not happy with their work at all. Even the owner of the shop was not happy. He originally quoted me $380 or something to paint it but charged only $180 cuz the job was so bad and he said they could not do it better cuz it's aftermarket poly and it's hard to paint.

Triple8sol kept recommending some local guys. Last time I talked to him, one guy got another job and didn't know if the other still did sides stuff. I know like 2-3 guys got work done by them. Don't know why these guys can't give a contact number but I don't know how these were handled. It's up to them as Triple's been banned.

tripple has been banned a few times but the last time I heard about him was that he bought some damaged workmeisters knowingly that they were beat up, then when he received them they weren't to his standards so he filed a chargeback - kept the wheels and the money. dunno how that ever got resolved but sounds pretty shady to me.

I've heard good things about:

Salatino's Collision
5601 South Adams Street
Tacoma, WA 98409

(253) 472-5774

They repainted a friend's red ferrari to carrara white. He's been very pleased with their work.

I need a shop that does good job on aftermarket parts not on stock.

I went to Salatino's and their quote was $1000 less than Paramount Center.

They both do excellent job.........on factory parts. But they don't know **** about after market.
