Default Dumb idea or not so dumb idea

My car, should I get a carbon trunk, roof and pillar overlays? Or is that just the riciest idea this side of pegasus? I like the way it looks now but maybe some more carbon wouldn't hurt? I figure the car would look almost two tone with cf on the top and bottom of the car with the only thing thats black would be fenders, doors, rear quarter panels.

You mean carbon fiber hatch (trunk)? I wouldn't do it reguardless. I think I'm gonna add some of the CF wrap on the inside. I do think CF looks good for diffusers.

That's all pretty carbony. You do save a bunch of weight from the hatch though.

True but is it really that cost effective and do you really "need" to loose that weight. Dude your car is sick as it is man.

I agree.
Don't get all blingy with the carbon. Your car looks pretty aggresive already.

There's a huge difference between NEED and WANT. I don't think any of really even need sports cars.

...

Alright, yeah we do.

^ We didn't need convertibles We just want them I still remember the FIRST 350z I saw on the road was in 2004 - brand new Redline! I always thought the things behind the seats makes the Z looks like a jet

On the carbon - I would do it! But you know how much I love carbon. On my car, it has to be partially painted. But since you have black, it'll look awesome without standing out too much. A salad bar looks good, I want one (ricerness in me, yep!) but at $1500 for a Voltex or INGS+1 that's more than what the carbon pieces you mention would cost!

If you go with a CF hatch, I'd go with the one that Alvin has. That one is sexy

But, if you do that mind as well do the whole top. ORRR just go FI? hehehehe

I just met the vinyl guy up in Oak Harbor, he runs it out of his garage, he does good work. Let me know if anybody is up in the area that wants to check it out.
