Default Itching to boost...

The bug has bit... Car "feels" slower than it used to... (althought I doubt it is...)

Anyone in the Renton/Auburn area running a Vortech Supercharger?
I'd enjoy seeing it and askign you a few questions...

I'll be keeping my eye's out for parts as they come up also...

Would like to get to about 350 to the wheels, and daily drive...

I think he wants boost, so boost leak is probably not the problem.

I LOL'd pretty hard when I read the first reply

The mid mount single kits by Boosted Performance look like really good quality and the #'s are good.

Supercharger would be safer on the engine, but either way its going to be fun hit up ACE to get a joy ride

Feel free to swing any specific questions you have by

for 350 at the wheels I would really stick to a supercharger as they are a little more reliable and I think the power curve is a lot more fun. you have to know you'll be content with 350 though because you cannot squeeze a whole lot more out of superchargers - I see em top out on vortech levels around 420hpish?

if you think you might itch for even more .. turbo / twin turbo may be the better solution as you can go crazier with them

for 350 at the wheels.. I would get an upgraded HKS supercharger set up. any higher, supercharged, I'd get a vortech. as for used boosted parts. . no thanks. too much potential for a headache

They just lowered their prices a grip, it used to cost like double that, a reason why you won't find a lot of people running it

vortech kits make more peak hp so more people buy into it. it doesn't tell the whole story. look at power curves from both. if 350 is all you want, I'd get the HKS. if you want 400, get the vortech. if you want more, go turbo/twin turbo/quadrupplemillionturbo.
