Moving to WA... Emissions? WTF.
So I'll be coming to WA (Fort Lewis) this fall/winter and while doing some searching to see what's good there I saw that emissions testing is required in certain areas for cars 5-25 years old. My Evo sure as hell won't pass (unless they only check OBD-II codes, which mine are good). Am I fuxored or is there a light at the end of the tunnel for me?
O hai, BTW. I'm Tony, and Alvin owes me a beer when I get there.

If you are located at Ft. Lewis area that puts you in Pierce county and I'm not sure what their rules are but if they are the same as King there are actually some shops that are well known for doing the all in one, where they tune and run your car through emissions for you and hand you your passing slip then just go get your plates/tabs.
PM me when you get here and need info I'd be glad to help you out, but I think you may be ok with your car, our tests are no where near like Cali!

At least in King County, they only appear to check OBD II codes, so as long as you don't have an check engine light and your gas cap tests OK, you should be good.
