Here's a few more to check out. NetFlix rules. (=

Donnie Darko
Rounders (for all you poker fanatics -- wait, *I'm* a poker fanatic...)
Ronin
The Shawshank Redemption
Shallow Grave
Napoleon Dynamite (it's actually next up in my queue)
The Usual Suspects
All the Kevin Smith movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back...)
Other "classics" (Godfather trilogy, Scarface, Taxi Driver, etc.)

These may or may not be your style, but I really like them:

Pi (good if you're on the geeky side or don't hate math theory)
City of God (Portuguese(?), amazing cinematography)
The Return (Russian, great cinematography)
Brazil

Wow, you have really good taste in movies! I own ALL of these, except Shallow Grave. Yes, even the ones you put in ( )!
Big Kevin Smith fan ... even have a signed Chasing Amy poster framed at my place. I had also never had anyone else recommend Taxi Driver to me... Travis Bickle all the way.

if you like martial arts movies you gotta see IRON MONKEY and dont watch hero.

HERO is overrated and the action sucked. They talk too much in the movie, ZzzZz, and the storyline was pretty stupid

"Memento" is a good movie to watch.

Anyone know of any good asian movies? Action, epics etc...
I got hooked after watching "So Close" which is another movie to rent. Slick action from kick-*** asian chicks!

Recently watched Warriors of Heaven and Earth, which is decent.
