Angry Pissed and Ranting

You know when i went to buy my brand new 05 DB Z, I thought hey, I want to do whatever i can to protect her in the long run (I dont ever plan on getting rid of her, want to garage her and let my kinds drive her) SO i shelled out about 2k extra for that permaplating and vinal protectant...

1) they said they were going to call me to set up appointment with me 2 days later, didnt ever call, I called them, left message and didnt get a responce till 3 days later

2) Permaplating ****ed up my windows, I had to go back to them which a cost me money (gass, more miles on my car, pain in the *** to change my very set work schedual)

3) Vinal protectant is even worse, they put it on, i thought maybe it needed day or 2 to dry out, well now i have this clearly greasy looking interior which is absolutly horid!

4) Go back again to have them fix it, they use this **** that smells like gas to try and clean it and even it out, didnt do **** really, again i sat there for another 30+ minutes

I really just want to kill someone at the dealership , and get my 2k back for all the problems and hastle and money lost from having to drive to the dealership (which is only in petaluma, but still a pain)

Think that I can get some of my cash back? I mean i really want to trade this car in for anotherone because of the way they ****ed it up, my interior looks like crap Never should have bought it

well it is kind of your fault for requesting "vinal protectant" (whatever that is) and the "permalplating".... for the interior,u could have bought a bottle of 303 aerospace protectant and done it yourself for 13 bucks. its great on the interior doesn't leave a gloss like other interior stuff.

ur right, u should not have bought it if u paid 2k for stuff that u had no clue about...

I wish you would have let us know your intentions before you made the decision to buy that useless stealer rip off. We would have talked you out of it. $2000 is the most i have ever heard anyone paying for that garbage package. Oh well, live and learn. I'm sorry to here it but I have no advise for you, I don't think you will ever see any of that 2000 those filthy vultures stole from you, yes, stole.

Yeah, a few cars ago, I got duped into buying the "extras" at the dealer, and then found out that the "permaplate" was just a coat of wax (they even said it needed to be freshened up every 3-4 months, for $50 a pop!) and the "vinyl protectant" was just a quick armor all job.

Sorry to hear about the mess ... hopefully you can get it all sorted out! Try and get them to throw in some extras for your troubles... maybe a set of nismo floor mats, or a trunk net or something.

Oh yeah, my best friend got sucked into that crap when she bought her last car, she was PISSED when she found out just exactly what it was she bought. Sorry to hear about that. At least it's a lesson learned I guess. I'm recently regretting getting lojack on my Z after reading about Godzilla's stolen STI, seems like a damn waste with out the upgraded early warning system for an added $600 bucks .

Yeah, permaplating is crap. But LoJack can help reduce insurance premiums.

i got jacked by the dealer too, mine was called Touch of Class...

only reason i got is cause they will warranty the leather and paint for the life of the car.. if leather starts to fade or crack they will replace it..

we'll see what happens in time...

Dude, no offense but they saw you coming, $2K for paint treatment and vinyl treatment. I mean come on.

I would contact the BBB on this one.

I bet you $50 you signed the dotted line for this extra treatment, and guess what it says above your signed name,

"This is NON-REFUNDABLE"

Chalk this up as a hard lesson learned. I would still contact the BBB if the dealer will not budge and take off at least $1500 of the $2K.

How many treatments are they offering you? Man O Man!, did I say I hate dealers that do this crap.

For some reason the editing tool is not working properly, UGH another my350z.com shutdown,

This is about as worse as a local Nissan dealer charging $9999.00 ADM (added Dealer Markup) to a 04 Enthusiast ZR and $2999 ADM for the 04 coupes! Stickered or $46K, guess what, they sold it. So, some sucka is driving around with a $46K Enthusiast Roadster and gets to say he was the first ZR owner in the Springs. Give me a break. BTW, 2 weeks later, some guy buys a Touring from Denver for $36K, LMAO!

Well, update, I went in and talked to the general manager about my concerns, and am now deciding what is fair to fix things, so what i should be getting is all the money I spent on those extras, and the money on the gap that I really didnt want anyway, also, I will no matter what get new door pannels and some floormats

Default There is justice

Ok, here it is, tell me if this sounds fair

First: I am getting new door panels since the ones i have right now are blotchy and ugly from that **** they put on it

Second: Refund of all the money i spent on the interior protectant, and gap that was part of the package I didnt want, and the cost of the permeplating that I didnt want

Third: I will be getting new floor mats *not big deal, but when u dont have them or the cash, its nice*

Fourth: I get to keep the warentees as though I still have them

Fith: Even though I'm only 20, they are going to give me a loaner off of the lot since I am too young to get a rental car in California

I think justice prevails! oh, the refund was $2800

Sounds good to me. At least they kind of admitted to it being a rip-off since they were willing to refund and replace. What's actually covered by the "warranty"?

FYI, the blotchiness you get on the door panels when you treat them is hard not to get. Because of the texture/holes you can't get an even distribution/penetration of the liquid.

I know, but I didnt know it was going to look like crap when they did it, I wouldnt have paid so much for them to do a shitty job, i could have done it at home for 1/10 the price.

... and I'll have to double check on the warranty's but I'm pretty sure that if my paint ever chips cracks or fades, i get it fixed, and same with interrior...

Sue them in small claims court. Get licensing information from DMV. I think DMV investigations has licensing information. rich, san jose, ca PS--you can sue up to $5k.
