Default Illegal U-Turn ticket, points off?

I made a illegal U-turn at san mateo county in front of Sushi Sams, I'm currently holding a New York State license and wondering 1) points off? 2) higher insurance? 3) should I plea not guilty and fight for it? 4) just pay for it and attend traffic school?

Thanks in advance

I would say just pay for it then attend traffic school. Maybe you can even do it online or at home. Your insurance won't go up if you go to traffic school.......no points.

Or if you are feeling lucky, fight for it.

No harm in tryin to fight it...I got an illegal U at a Z meet a few months ago, I got picked out of the crowd of about 20 other Zs who made the same turn =/ but i went to court and said i wasnt familiar with the area and they dropped the points and cut the fine in half.

I believe it is a moving violation and it "costs" one point. Yup, here in CA one cannot make a U-turn in a business district. And I think CA & NY share information. Go to traffic school, because the "point" or conviction is on your record here in CA for 37 looonnnnnggggg months. Are you kidding, the insurance company is looking for any excuse to raise your rates. rich, san jose, ca
