how'd you guys do last night?...I red lighted on the 2nd run.

I redlighted on the fourth round by .013. I knew I had been cuttin it close, but I had two really close races that I would have lost if I hadn't cut it close.
.022, .025 and .034 were my R/t in the races I won in the finals.

 

Ive come to the conclusion, I can't Drive!!!!!! Maybe I should let Sean drive my car. 13.4 excellent!

C'mon, how'd you REALLY do? I thought last night was the night you were going to break into the 11s.....What did Rob do with his 300ZX?

Fortunately I broke out in the first elim so I took some *****in' vids for y'all!!!

Some highlights:
-The grudge match between the Bruce and the Porsche 911 TT…you can tell this guy was jelous that 350z was running the same times…check the vid since they raced for “pink slips”

-Burnouts from Walt, Sean and Bruce…in one of the vids you can see smoke creeping out of Bruce’s hatch still!

-Finally hearing the announcer say my last name…I captured it on video! Unfortunately I broke out by a tenth of a second on this runL

-A supra with a HUGE turbo and some HUGER slicks only ran a 12.3….check it out.

Man i thought I was going for sure too, I did pick up almost 3mph more trap. A new best 1.75 60ft. However my 3rd gear c0c% blocked me 2 times on my best 60ft runs which should of yielded a 11.60ish to 11.90.

Rob's best was a 12.6 something but he thinks he might have toasted his diff.

 

Good Job Alvin!! Now I feel bad for playing with and eventually destroying that Datsun roadster.

Thanks for posting up the pics and video. Rob kept telling me he was taking my car to the strip, so I had to eyeball the pics to determine if he was just f#cking with me or not..... He called on his cell phone while he was driving to Infineon and said "wait a sec, I have to pull over and put the top up on your car so I can hear you". Everybody's a comedian!

If so, great job again Sean. Time for weight reduction.
Heck throw that passenger seat out, CD's, carpet from rear, spare tire, tools, and anything else that can be taken out and put back in quickly, etc....

I think Sean has holes drilled in everything. Just kidding about the window.....he even folds back the mirrors.

 

Quick question for all you drag racing junkies so I can settle an argument.
Does the rear-end ratio affect the acceleration in the 1/4 mile?
For example, would one see a noticeable difference between these 2 setups:

car1:
3.89 rear end, open-diff

car2:
4.38 rear end, Limited Slip Diff

 

Anyone know the diagnosis on Tim's car? What happenned exactly?

 

Hey alvin! Everything being equal car #2 should win in a drag race. The higher the number the lower the gear ratio=better acceleration.
