Great Bruce, Sac would be quite a trip for me during the week.

same here... I think the traffic would be pretty bad. Does anyone know how the traffic would be to SAC on a Fri? I know its a rule of thumb to not go any earlier than like 7pm if you don't leave by 1pm the latest on a friday.

Hey Walt, How many more runs did you get in? We thought it would be 'wise' to leave you with your company. Here is the Timeslip from my last run as you requested. Car #62.

yes, he did! Awesome!!! Hardly any mods.

Sean: looking at the timeslip it appears you REALLY hooked up. Thanks for watching her while I was racing.....am I your new hero now??

I got another couple of runs I think. Beat myself on R/T- hit my dial dead on. It was so close I thought I won, but I lost by 1/100's.

I had a fun night and It was nice seeing you break the sound barrier.

No NOS, just a good launch. Not sure if I should put the test pipes on now. It might slow me down.

They aren't going to slow you down. You might pull off another 10th.
Also you ran the 13.4 when it was still warm and hardly any humidty. Nice cool night be be really good.

Without test pipes 13.46? Wow, that's even better than I thought.

I see a 13.3 with test pipes in Sean's future.

Good luck buddy!

Bring your fuses, CIA's, smoke pipes, bias-ply radials, duodenum spacers, whatever...I will crush you all.

PS Sean if you ran a 13.4 would you be willing to race my friend's E46 M3? The look on his face as a stock 350z pulls on him would be be priceless!

Are you showing up Weds or do you have another lame excuse. I suppose you could crush a Z if they gave you like............lets say.......to be conservative.........well how about minute head start. I took out 2 350Z's (not members of the board here) head to head last week with a passenger in the car, so I don't think your antique will be a whole lot of trouble. BTW I had the fuse IN. Next Weds it will be OUT.

I think Sean's Z will surprise a bunch of M3's.

why is it that the last two timeslips show the faster time is the loser? they both also had faster trap speeds, so it doesn't make sense to me.

And I have no idea what that means.
It is the one who gets there first, not the one who has the highest trap/terminal speed. for instance I beat a fellow who tuned 112 mph and I turned 98 mph. He had a faster car, but missed a shift or lost traction. bottom line is the one who gets there first wins. You can beat a faster car by having a quicker reactions time (R/T) or by getting better traction and therefore getting there quicker.

the dial in time is what you write on your windows as an anticipated time you will run in the 1/4 in bracket racing. It is a way to have cars of all speeds compete on a level playing field. It become a contest of how fast your reaction time is and how consistant you are, not on how fast your car is.

As an example to explain my statement you quoted. I dialed in a 13.900 ET. or elapsed time for the 1/4. I turned a 13.903, so I was 3/1000 off my dial in, but my reaction time was .310 and I needed a .300 R/T or better to have won that race. I am usually in the .0XX R/T area, with a best ever of .002 off a perfect reaction time/light. Perfect is .000.

Does that make sense?
