Thumbs up to Scott Performance in Santa Clara
just wanted to let everyone know that i had a great experience dealing with the guys over at Scott Performance in Santa Clara. I went to have some dc headers and kinetix hi-flo cats put on, and also to have a 3.5 pumpkin installed (i have a 5at with 3.3). i met Ted over there, and he was very knowledgable. he answered all of my questions, and gave me a set price on installing the headers (very low) and even thought the header and cat install took nearly twice as long as he estimated, he still stuck with his original price. they close at 6, and he even stayed till 8 himself to make sure it got done, and make sure it got done right. just wanted to let anyone who might be looking for a tuning shop to know that they definately know their stuff, and they're awesome to deal with!

holy sh*t...you got 283.2 rwhp with those mods and the unichip? I had a pre-tuned unichip on my honda before and i wasn't satisfy with the results...but looks like the custom-tuned one on a Z does wonders!

I believe that 283 is flywheel hp. Ted has a conversion on his dyno to compute corrected to flywheel. I believe that is what he is taking about. That would then be as advertized by Nissan

hey- unexpected things happen all the time, dont they? not every install goes by the book, does it? its just good to know that when things happen, i dont have to bend over and take it. you could be the most knowledgable person there is when it comes to z's, but that doesnt mean that something new or unexpected won't come up. knowlegde of the z isnt going to get a header bolt off that doesnt want to come off
