Just FYI, I would NOT go to Infineon as your first track day... there are lots of walls there.

Thunderhill is a much better track for newbies (and experienced drivers too). The next event there from a group I've run with is March 10th with TrackMasters.

+1...last year I went to Infineon to try to meet up with daveh; when I got there, there was a Z with the whole front end smashed. While I was looking around the track, I saw another car hit the wall (it hit mostly tires that protect the wall, but there was still considerable damage).

*I've done a handfull of track events at Thunderhill, and I've gone off 2 times (both times were due to my inexperience with brake fade...a big problem that occurs with the Z)

btw: I still plan to do at least 1 event at infineon; I've heard too many good things about how fun it is to drive there.

Everyone missed a great weekend. One wet session in the morning for some sliding fun and then it dried up. The Z did quite well. She turned a 1:55 for a first in class finish. I'll post some video one of these days.
Thunderhill is only a few weeks away. Hope to see at least one Z out there ...

Congrats on that great time Dave!! I'm now in Alabama with my car trailer and new track wheels/ tires. I need to get in touch with some people out here. To all who missed out, look for Dave the next time.

Take care,
Steve
