I had a pretty bad experience there... They told me the car would be ready by 11 am (dropped it off at 9 am)... I got there at 12 and they hadn't even touched it!! I just told them to give me my car back and that i was done with them...
If they were running late, they could have called me!!

I used to take mine to (Serramonte Nissan - Erwin) Extremely unprofessional and just a plain a$$hole. He consistently lies every chance he gets. Always promises that the car will be done but waits till the end of the day to tell you that they have to keep it overnight. My last visit was to fix the drivers side window....wouldn't go up. He tells me come in first thing in the morning and he will have it ready in a couple of hours. Ok, fine. Gave Erwin the keys and I sat there and waited. After about 1.5 hrs he tells me that they don't have the window motor and can't fix it today, at that very moment the tech walks in and tells me my car is good to go. Erwin just looked at me and said that he thought they didn't have the motor. The tech looked at him confused. My point is he is a Fu*king liar and why wait 1.5 hrs. to tell me they don't have the motor.
yah same here, i had erwin help me and that guy is a total procrastinator, he waited til the end of the day to tell me that the front tires were not in stock, left the car there the whole damn day...idiot

for all the capitol nissan experience people, they funny thing is that one of my classmates works there (i go to SJSU) and every time he brings up cars i tell him how much us enthusiasts hate his dealer and that his service techs are a bunch of idiots--note: he is one of those guys that talks like he knows all about cars, but make **** up for the sake of saying...i usually walk away

My dealings with dealerships in the bay.

San Rafael - were great but not around anymore
San Leandro - great for 30 min oil change without appointment but not great for mods. Thought my crossover in my doors affected the window motor from dying. Said the wires affected the window which was untrue . . . completely unrelated.
Serramonte - Unwilling to help and wanted me to pay $700 to pull tranny out just to see if it was bad? Wanted to rip me off for something they should be aware of in the 03 trannies.
Daland - tiny dealership and a rip off. I live in Millbrae and won't ever take my car to them

Superior Nissan in Fremont is pretty good for now. About two weeks ago I dropped my car off for my 3rd tranny swap. No questions asked and Todd had it done. I had my laundry list of things such as:
-new clutch/tranny & install JWT flywheel/800 idle/2 degrees
-rear axel clicking recall
-clicking in drivers side window(already replaced motor at 30K)
-fuel recall
-oil change
-drivers seat lifting when taking hard turn and creaking

So the car took much longer to get back then expected. Brought it in Friday and was to have it back possibly same day. It didn't happen but got a rental car on dealership's bill. Saturday came by and the car wasn't ready because of issues on installing the flywheel. Was told the alumn flywheel was messing with the sensor and I was like ummm . . . I've never heard of that before from anyone installing a JWT flywheel. Clutch was also replaced.

Eventually I got my car back Tuesday and paid $0. Todd got everything taken care of except the drivers seat issues(still trying to get Nissan to replace). Now the window made clicking noises when it was midway down(this got fixed), but now when it's all the way down it clicks. Have to bring it back in again.

Mind you, I brought her in at approx 59,000 miles and they were cool enough to take care of a lot of the other items. Overall, they've been pretty good compared to the others that I have dealt with. Dealers are never on time and always lag. Superior seems to be more willing to help out than others.

Got mine done @ Vallejo Nissan. No complaints with interaction...
However, I started noticing higher gas consumption.. Not sure if I'm more aware now that gas prices are higher or if it was related to what they did.
I'll start a diff thread to ask what gas mileage people get...

i want to steven creek nissan and i got pissed. they told me they will charge me $130 to remove and reinstall my aftermarket exhaust! wtf, i told them it is a recall i should not need to pay for anything. and they reply that nissan is not paying to remove aftermarket parts bahbahbah. so i went to nissan in sunnyvale since everyone recommended it, they have great service, and the best thing is they don charge for anything.

For the individuals that have already done this recall, did you ask to see your old hoses? Have the dealers been finding cracked hoses in CA?

I just talked to a service manager and he said they've done >15 of these and none of the hoses were cracked. He seems to think the cracking was more of a issue in harsher temperature areas.

Of course, he may be lying through his teeth to avoid me bringing my car in.

Just curious if people have had similar findings.

i dealt with jerry at falore nissan due to their many recommendations through here. they had my car from 8am to 430p. while i was hangin out getting breakfast with a friend, goin to stanford mall, gettin lunch, then goin to valley fair they did my 30k maintenance service and the recall. no bs about, "because of this mod, this happened to your car so u have to pay to get this replaced blah blah". pretty straight up and did a good job cuz my car feels as if its running like new.

Falore rocks.

They did my tranny when i had a 3rd gear grind problem and replaced the entire thing for me with the latest version from Nissan.

Uhm, do I need to mention that the car is heavily (TT) modified ?

So it looks like they're also the place to go for this fuel mod. Sweet.
