Default RECALL 2003-2004 MODEL YR NISSAN 350z

Fuel filler hose that can cause fuel leakage from the hose while fillilng and the fuel vapor hose, which causes the malfunction indicator lamp to come on.
Just got the "Safety Recall Notice" today. Free replacement, suggested the sooner the better, otherwards "ASAP". Just in case anybody hasn't received the notice yet.

The answer is yes... They included a card to mail back postage free to the original owner to give info on new owner requesting name, address, tel#.

May been posted before, so let's just say this is for anyone that hasn't seen it. I received letter today and hadn't known before anyway.

I'm interested in the answer as I just got my notice in the mail today and am worried too. That's a lot of work and a lot of potential for error.

Question

^bump
Are there any service departments in the south bay that you'd recommend or disrecommend? I'd be willing to go as far south as Santa Cruz or Gilroy if absolutely necessary.

Falore Nissan in Sunnyvale. Very nice crews and they're MOD friendly.

They seem nice enough (and quite convenient for me too), but I'm still wrangling to get my $25 back from them when they mischarged me for a rental car when they said they'd cover it for me. It was a surprise bill when I showed up to pick up my car from the feathering work many months ago. Despite a couple phone calls to them and assurances from them they'd credit it back, I still haven't gotten it.

To TSCNismo... err, Tustin is WAY too far.

Stay away from Capitol Nissan, leaving your car there is like parking it in a black hole. Being the closest dealership to my house, I have given them more than their fair share of "maybe this time it will be different" and it never is.

Post up the problems you've had so you can inform others. I didn't have any problems with the stevens creeks nissan dealer. They seemed to have a clue so I'd go back to them.
