Default WTH! Is the F&F playing at a revival theater?

All week *kids* have been pulling up alongside in home-made, beat-down, ghetto sleds and wanting to race. I mean pre 91 Integras (right hand drivers with Pep Boys side view mirrors), old Civics (with the bumper hanging off), etc. C'mon! WTF are they thinking!?! So I ask, is the Fast and the Furius playing somewhere, again?

Perhaps pictures do better justice. When I lived in Santa Monica, I never saw a 4cylinder POC, racing a vette, Supra, Z(350 or 300), etc. up in the bay area, this hasn't happened until last week where 2 over the top cars have pulled alongside, revved the engine, and looked for a go. Must be in the water....

But keep in mind these are the same kids that cause the cops to pick on every modified car out there & participate in reckless street racing (All Modified Cars = All Street Racers stereotype). I don't care if they take it to the track but reality is...most of them don't .

Default I saw a nice silver NSX until....

So I was heading home on Great America Parkway when I saw a nice looking silver NSX pull out from a business park driven by an older gentleman (40+). So I was admiring it from the stoplight until I finally got a glimpse of his spoiler...

That thing was FREAKIN HUGE!!!! It was literally 3-4 feet high & it completely made of fiberglass! It wasn't even one of those nice JGTC spoilers either. I tried to take a pic but I had to turn on the next street. Man...that thing looked absolutely ridiculous!

And so contrary to the nature of an NSX (Lightweight, streamlined down to the headlights). I would never have guessed that of someone in their 40's.

I love that quote from the F&F. I can't remmeber if I thought it was *that* cheesy at the theater, then, though.

Yeah, tell me about it. Sometimes the beast follow me or lag back in traffic hiding to see if I'll do something. I'm 29 and pick and choose very carefully when I want to cut up.

this is a reason why i chose to have my car...its a pretty highly modified car, with a crap load of power, never gets attention from cops, cuase it doesnt fit the mold of that stereotype haha

when i have my new R, it would be the same thing i hope, even wtih well over 400 hp on tap :P
