Default Attn Nor Cal: Please help me fix my car

hey guys, i posted in the repair forums but didnt really get many responses.

I am hoping you guys can help me.

my problem:

the car starts up fine, but the TCS OFF light is on and i didnt press it to turn off my TCS AND the SLIP light is on as well.

My car will NOT rev past 1500rpm's and it seems to just wants to stay in idle. If i press the throttle to the floor, it will maybe go up 500rpm's.

On the other hand, if i reset my ECU by disconnecting the battery and connecting it back again, it drives fine, for a day or two. then the problem occurs again.

what do you guys think?

pull the codes and see what's wrong. I think Pep Boys or other stores like that will let you borrow their small handheld units to read the codes...what mods do you have, any chance of bad gas?

engine wise, i have no mods. bone stock. im having the car checked out by a family friend this week. he's goin to pull the codes and we'll have to see.

i doubt its bad gas because its almost 1/4 tank left and iv been on the same tank this whole time. it would have happened sooner if it was bad gas.

thanks for your input.

do you have any aftermarket rims and tires. Maybe the tire sizes are wayyyyy off. Otherwise i can't see what is going on, or I should say i have no experience. It seems like Limp mode to me. If you have no mods and haven't done anything goofy, take it to the dealer. Or you can call Zcargarage. They have a Consult that reads and clears all codes and gives a diagnostic. 452 0350. Good luck.

I had that happen when a shop accidently put my touring tires on in reverse (225's in the rear and 245's up front) . I could not turn at all without losing all power. so I ad o coast around turns to get back to the shop. I will never go back there....

That can be a cause, but if you turn off your traction control it should go away. that would be the test. If you have stock rims and tires, it is something else.
