whats up, i don't own a 350Z but i do own an evo ix.

anyways i put a post up on the norcal evo forums about hosting a group drive up highway 9 and then to bear creek rd. so far we have about 8 evos. if anybody wants to come drive with us for a nice fun drive come meet at

Nice i think i might be free that day. Also bought a APEX'i N1 Ti exhaust (single) so i guess ill be matching with the evos =)

 

nice, feel free to bring any of your friends as well. there shouldn't be a problem with po pos because 9 on the weekends have tons of car and bike meets cruising along there n skyline. as long as we dont do stupid stuff it should be a-ok.

weathers supossed to thunder shower today, but it was jsut gloomy, tomorows light showers might not even occur so i have a pretty positive outlook on it. if it does end up raining we can just all meet up and talk for a lil bit, then maybe decide to do something else or go on a safer path, or reschedule so that ppl have more notice to show up. but show up at 11 yall.

if its light rain we can choose a different path which would be more safe less sharp turns. maybe like 9 skyline 35 and then to page mill rd. which would be more high speed sections. but if its pouring well just meet up and hang out and then maybe reschedule another time that would be good for everybody

 

i like driving in the wet. good drivers are less stupid. oO

Tranman keep us posted, next time, I'll try and plan for us to join you. We're just a little south and come up to the San Jose, Fremont, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz runs all the time. yeah, at the drive today an STI didn't make it.....

 

alright guys, so i just got off the phone with my friend. who has gotten contact from Andrew (06 aspen white sti) he is ok, car is totalled, but he and his passenger are not hurt.i hope this does not scare off people for the next drive because face it, as long as you drive within your skill level and level of comfort, it would minimize the risks. I am planning out another group drive right now, most likely early june, and this time we'll have it more organized as in who normally wants a higher pace and who wants a slower one. so that all the fast people go ahead and just pull aside every now and then into a lot and wait for everyone to regroup and then head on out again. this way it doesn't really pressure anyone to speed because they feel like they're slowing down the group. especially driving in the rain like we did today, everyone should take it at the pace they are comfortable with. thanks to jon for coming out and reppin my350z even though he was the only one. we had a nice turn out today pre drive it was 14 cars. (two s2k's, 3 evos, 3 wrx, one 350z, & 5 sti's. A total of 8 made it on to skyline and everybody else was held back because of the unfortunate accident.

but other than that the drive was fun, on skyline we let the faster people drive in the front so that people wouldn't feel pressured, especially my friends in the s2k not having that much traction cause of their tires. and every now and then the front people would slow down to let everyone catch up. when we went down 84 it was great just nice leisurely drive. definately next one when the sun's out we would be able to enjoy it a lot more. i'll post up a new thread soon on the next drive.
