Anyone know of a body shop that could cut vents into my OEM hood?

plus another $200+ to get the carbon fiber hood painted. plus gotta make sure it fits and if need be, reinforce the latch or get hood pins.
so you get to save $300+ and don't have to wory about anything else

I saw some CF Hoods on the Hearst castle run and around the vents are lots of spider web looking cracks....No thanks.
CF cracks to easily...The $200 I save I can put toward the V2 front bumper.

Alright,
I'm looking into doing this as well.. So, I did some searching... Apparently there is waterjet cutting technology!!! I saw that the American Chopper guys are using this as well to cut out designs out of a metal plate.
This technology uses a high pressure water stream that's 1mm thick, shoots out water at the speed of sound! This thing can cut pretty much anything smoothly and it doesn't generate heat! I spoke to an engineer and he said it can be done on the hood. He doesn't think the process will hurt the paint either!!! He is asking $200 for this job. I'm going to get this done and let you know how it comes out.

I know that mine were not water jet cut for sure...
The issue with water jet cutting an ali hood is that it is a composite structure with the underbraces and the top surface, so the material is not supported evenly across the whole area. Might be worth checking that they have considered this

Worth checking first
I love the way this hood looks and am curious to see if anyone has a template for the areas that need cut out? I'm getting some paint work done next week and want the body shop to cut my hood like this. Any help on a templete, etc. would be awesome or is this something a shop should be able to do without a template?

Hmm? That kinda rhymes. LOL
