Default Clutch Replacement\Upgrade - need advise ASAP!!! THANKS

Need input on how much clutch replacement\upgrade labor cost is?
My car is in the dealership and can have cluthc replaced\upgraded free of labor charge(they're replacing the short block)....

Car currently has 40K miles on it?

Also, which parts exactly need to be replaced if I remain stock?
The only other option is Nismo upgrade.

What do you guys think?

thanks

If they are going to upgrade the clutch free of labor charges, I would jump all over that. Upgrading the flywheel is debatable. It gives more RWHP, but some of the flywheels make the car sound like a cement mixer on some cars(seems to be hit and miss).

Somewhere there is a thread on a flywheel that doesn't, I forget which manufacturer. If you can find that, I would get that replaced too. Better clutch and flywheel for cost of parts only is a great deal.

Do i need to replace the whole assembly if I remain stock?
The quote they gave me for stock assembly replacement is more expensive than the NISMO. I do need to convince them to install the Nismo since it is a R-Tune upgrade.

Get the Nismo, it's strange, but the stock clutch is more expensive than the better nismo clutch. If your really pressed for time, just do the nismo clutch and call it a day, but if you have some time, do some searches on the flywheels, becuase it would be a good time to replace that as well for more RWHP.

+2 on the JWT Full Street Heavy Duty Combo.
That's the one I'm going with, and it's the flywheel with the least chatter I've heard of. The clutch is great. My friend has it in his 300ZX approx. 2 mo's now and loves it.

Thanks for your responses...
I've decided to get the Nismo...
It's costing me a bit more via the dealership - had to cause they may not wait for parts if I get it from outside and wouldn't have to deal with part problem issues.

The reason I chose the Nismo is because it has less chatter than JWT.
I think that it adds more to the cars resaleabilty than the JWT. I possibly could only keep the car until next spring...
