But i did compare the two dyno graphs. The powerband dropped substantially because the basically stack them on top of another. It was very clear to me that power was lost. I only have 35k miles on the clock....

Oh, I'm not saying your second dyno pull wasn't lower than the first, I'm just saying that if the tests weren't done under controlled conditions you could've seen a 5-10% difference on a different day on the same dyno with the exact same mods and tune.

Ture....and my car felt stronger. But that doesn't explain the power loss...

Vince, I reiterate this statement. You could have an actual gain in power, especially top end. Take the graphs again, and this time offset them by 10 hp, with the after headers tune up and that could be the actual result. Too many variable factors to consider. All you can do is look at the curve. Especially the torque curve to see if it is any better at maintaining torque throughout the higher rpm range. The Z (and most Nissans) seems to have a huge problem with that on stock cams.
My stock dyno shows my torque dropping very very fast after 6,200 rpm. By the time I reach redline, my torque is a mere 185 lb-ft, down from ~210 lb-ft. What that tells me is that I lost 25 lb-ft in 400 rpm. That's a 11.9% loss (25/210). But from 5600-6000 rpm (keeping constant amount of rpm range), I start with 215 lb-ft and drop down to 210 lb-ft, only a 5 lb-ft loss (2.3%).
Here's where I posted my original dyno thread.

So you do make a Mrev2 style intake manifold for 287hp? If I do get this mod do you think it'll help my top end power? I've heard some say that Mrev won't work on 287 motor. Your right about the power curve. The car actually felt stronger after the tune, but the dyno sheet told otherwise. I really don't know what to believe anymore. Butt dyno or the dyno sheet...lol.

It's because you offed that old exhaust and bought the HKS-Ti. I guess you didn't like it so much afterall!

Maybe ZCG's dyno is off? Has anyone ever made big power there? I should dyno at the old SP dyno.
