Coming your way
The Gumball Rally began in San Francisco Thursday night, in a high-octane race to Miami (with stops in Las Vegas, Tucson, San Antonio, and New Orleans). Several participants were arrested in Marin County, where I live, and their cars impounded for thirty days.
Cited for reckless driving (racing more than 110 mph along Highway 101), they were running BMWs. More exotic impounds included a BMW Z8, a Mercedes SL500, and a Porsche 911. Although someone did wreck his Ferrari, no arrests or tickets were reported in Nevada, where there is more desert and a greater deference to the self-entitled.

Going from SF to LV and they got arrested in Marin- obviously a bunch of lost dipshit which deserved to have their vehicles impounded. If they were smart they would have gone out 580 to the 5 or down 101 to gilroy then out to the 5- how the hell did they end up going north into Marin?
Apparently, they intended to cross the San Rafael-Richmond Bridge and pick up Interstate 80. But I agree, going north was not the best way to get out of town.
They are to be in Miami by Tuesday and so should be in San Antonio by now.
