The lips are actually fiberglass. I wanted poly but I got such a good deal that I couldn't pass it up. I might just go a little lower in the rear and then get some different wheels. Miata looks like its coming around.
will do once i have it all set up. when i got the rear as low as the front i got stuck on the speed bumps to get out of my complex so i had to raise it up about 1.5 inches
but this weekend i'm picking up a hardtop and then i'll street park it so it can go crazy low. i'll post good pics then.
ah. fiberglass is the devil. the first lip i got was a fg replica nismo lip. lasted 3 months till i took it to a drift event and smashed it on a few cones and even then it wasn't that bad. could have been repaired, but ya.... if you got a good deal on it then why worry about messing it up?

Food truck fiesta coming today to Capitol
Food trucks! A gang of food trucks and mobile vendors will be parked at the California State Capitol (10th St. between L and N streets) from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. They're gathering for El Grito, an early commemoration of Mexican Independence Day. Because no matter if a food truck is peddling burgers or waffles, the roots of mobile food can be found in the humble taco truck. Here's the lineup of vendors:
1. MiniBurger
2. Wicked 'Wich
3. La Piedad
4. La Mex
5. Chando's
6. Drewski's Hot Rod Kitchen
7. Corn Cake/BBQ
8. Mama Kims
9. VolksWaffle
10. Emma's Tamales
11. Pizza Company
12. Fat Face
In other food truck news, we're hearing that food truck ordinances may be coming up soon in front of the Sacramento City Council. Stay tuned for more information on that. Meanwhile, see you in line tonight for Chando's and more.

Ya. I got it brand new from another z owner. I didn't find out it was fiberglass until I picked them up but I figured it why not for genuine veilside. I am just very aware of the road so I don't shatter that sh*t LOL

I'm sure that it has been brought up before but does anyone know a good place to get paint done that's not going to kill my wallet? I need to get a stock spoiler painted.
How about stock front bumper and lower half of the hood? (maybe lower 1/3rd) What am I looking at for "labor" + paint? Actually, stupid question time, what would I be looking at for a nice layer of clear over the whole car (you know, more room to compound/polish before wearing through the clear)?
I was actually meaning my former boss at his shop, for small things he is very reasonable and if you wanted to do the prep work on it so he only had to spray it it would be even cheaper. I can do it, but I do not have the professional tools or shop to do it right now and I would rather finish my bumper first so that everyone can see the work I can do with what I have now BEFORE I do anyone else parts... either way I can put you in touch with him if you want...
the same goes you haha I can show you how good his clear jobs are with pics of my CF hood that we recleared because it was terribly faded... the prep work isn't hard but your car wonnt be pretty in the process either, so it might be better just to let him do it...

There is also TNT Autobody out in Sac. They do some awesome work at very reasonable prices. I've see some of the show cars that come out of there with full color change and the prices are amazing.
