Mt Hamilton run pics
First let me thank Dave for making the run with me on such short notice (that's what 350Z THC is all about ). Just two of us but we had a blast.
We started from Dave's house at about 2pm. drove down the 101 to Alum Rock Exit in south SJ. Went up the front side and got stuck behind a boat of a car and ended up going the last 10 miles at about 15 mph.
Finally made it to the top and took some pics. We then decided to go down the backside since our friend in the boat of a car left just before us and we couldn't bear the thought of driving down the mountain at 15 mph (Dave, I bet that guy is only half way down the mountain ).
The backside of Mt Hamilton was a great choice- It's a bit loner (about 50 miles to Livermore) but the road is in much better condition. Much less traffic and more sweeping turn as opposed to the hairpins on the way up. I think the backside of Mt Hamilton is now one of my favorite roads in the bay area.
Sorry no one else could make it, but I didn't give much notice. We'll have to make this run with more people in the future.
Anyway, enough babbling- on with the pics.
Thanks again Dave. BTW the gasket stayed on for all of three block after I left your house

nice pics!! I had a lot of fun driving today. thanks for the invite failsaf3. I should check the local bike forum for any mention of two cra"Z" on mines road
Anyways, my pics are still in my camera in my car. I was too busy Z-6 and Z-2 my car after you left... didn't get a chance to download them and post them. I'll get them up here tomorrow.
The weather was perfect, though a little too many bugs for my taste. It's a good half day of driving through some very nice back roads as well as twisties. I suggest that we do this same run for the next meet/drive? I'm sure it's a lot easier to drive now compare to last time we had a meet there in the monsoon season.
failsaf3, hopefully injen can take care of your issue.

Man Mt. hamilton is a nice drive... I miss being in the bay.
Sitting up there at the observatory is just king... you can do some cool shadow play against the dome in a setting sun.
