Default Is this a good price for window tinting Nor Cal?

Hi guys,
I am planning to get my car windows tinted. I live in the Bayarea. I got a price quote from Rocky Mountain Window Tinting (some people on this site recommended this place)in Livermore for $159 for the back three windows (and $80 extra if i want to do the door windows). What do you guys think? Is that a reasonable price? I also found out it is actually illegal to have any colored tint on the door windows in CA ....that sucks. I don't really want to risk getting a ticket. I am thinking about getting 20% on the back window and maybe 30%-35% on the small windows. I have a white z so that should look pretty dark right? The guy at the tinting shop suggested me to not go too dark with the two small windows cuz the blind spots are bad enough. Any of you guys with tints ever find it is ever harder to see through the small windows?
Thanks for your time.

Just a note for future reference: regional posts are better answered in the appropriate regional forum.

I actually have 15% through out my Z. The z coupe has a pretty big blind spot already but i did not notice a big difference granted my car before also had 15% all around so maybe i am used to it.

In FLorida 15% is illegal but the cops hardly pull you over for it unless you get limo tints and i paid $159 for tints which is every window on my car. I dont know how prices are in cal but i feel like i got ripped off for paying that much when other places down here tint as low as 89 dollars.

I got everything tinted at 20% and I can see out of it fine, with no problems in the blind spots. With the sun out you can see into the car, but if it's overcast or during the evening the windows look very dark. If you want dark looking windows you may be disappointed by using 35%; too light IMO. But lighter tint will usually lower your chance of getting pulled over for it.

Also I don't think it would look right if you only did the back with 20% and all the sides at 35%... But I haven't seen a car with tint like that so don't put much weight on that opinion.

O wow that looks nice!! You did it yourself? You are pretty skillful. I'm not gonna attempt that...I would just mess up everything >.<. 2.5%? dark! It goes well with your car tho. Thank for the info for the American Auto tinting. I will get a price quote from them to compare.^_^

Go to Vince(Omega Tintwerks) in Livermore. He'll make sure you're taken care of you and the quality of his work is guaranteed. I've had 3 cars taken there and after 5 years, not a single problem. I went 20 on all three back windows and 35% on the front. Never had any issues with poe and it's looks clean.

Vince seems to be the most popular tinting person in this area. I tried to call him yesterday and only got the answer machine, i guess he is pretty busy. I am still debating if i should get the door window tinted or not...Do you mind i ask how much you got your z tinted for? You could PM me if you like. I am just trying to compare the prices.
Thanks

Ok, Sidney from AutoMall window Tint quoted me 140 for 3 windows and 240 for 5 (if pay with cash). Is that still high? Another question, I am really thinking about only tint the three back windows to avoid breaking the CA tinting law. I know lots of people tint all 5 anyways. Do you guys think it will look wired with only three windows tinted? I've noticed that Z has some kinda of natural tint on the door windows already...

Hmmm...I just realized Vince at Omega only opens mon-friday. That is hard to make it work for my schedule since I also live pretty far from him. Too bad he doesn't open on Sat.

its slow time for window tinters right now, you can usually bargain them down.........I got all 5 done for $150 that also includes lifetime warranty on the tint
