Default What can be done about noisy renters next door

I live in a free standing house with some renters in the house next door.

They play music till 4 or 5 in the morning most Fridays and random nights during the week. They also play ping pong or drinking games out back with lots of "Ohhh"s "F***ing nailed it"s and "I own you"s at volume levels that could be heard over a space shuttle launch.

A week ago Wednesday they had some kind of altercation that resulted in blood being spilled from what I can tell from the yelling with some party goers they had apparently invited. The next thing I know there are 20 kids in the street screaming at each other. I had called the cops an hour prior to this and was on the phone with them again as people were picking up landscaping rocks to bash each other with. It eventually settled down with half of them driving away without any bashing and the other ten then went on to describe over and over again the details of it all in loud drunk voices.

I tried going over there one time, that did nothing. I got the "sure thing dude" and then half an hour later they were going at it again.

At this point, I have called the San Jose Police 10 times since September (many more times before that but I was not keeping track), always after 11:00pm and nothing changes. Sometime they show up and tell them to be quiet and the rest of the night they're quiet, some times they don't, like tonight and the party has now gone on since 8pm to now (2:00am) and if nothing happens, it will probably continue till 5:00am with the worst drum beats I have ever heard.

Seriously, at this point it is sleep deprivation, the nights during the week mess me up the entire next day making it hard to concentrate on work.

So what can I do? I know the name of the owner but don't have a number and frankly, I don't really want the renters knowing I busted them for fear or retaliation once they move out (they'll still know where I live, I wont know where they live type of thing).

get a 3" true dual exhaust and turbo kit with open dumps and do 7000rpm burnouts at 10am (when they are sleeping) everyday for 2 weeks.

Nice, I thought about putting my oil less compressor over on that side of the house and then proceeding to sand my deck with 4" air disk sander every Saturday starting at 7:00am. It could take months, the problem is I am going to be in no shape to get up at 7:00 if I am still up at 3:00am.

OH, and one more fun thing, call the power company and tell them you (your new pals) are moving. And you want the power shut off Saturday night on X date with the final bill sent to your new address (made up, but use a real one)

Play Barry Manilow at volume 11 when they are awake.

Nothing says shut the fug up neighbor, like "Mandy."

Try playing something they hate, if that don't work, I'd move.

see if any of the other neighbors are feeling the same way........after they you could petition to get them evicted.......won't single you out, it'll be the whole neighborhood that wants them out. Strength in numbers.......either that or show up at their door with 50 other dudes and bats haha

1) Call the owner and complain. They already know you call the cops on them, trust me.

2) File a civil lawsuit.

I think I would move if I played Barry at 11. Although, Mandy on repeat for hours might just work. hmm.

You know, floating around here is video of a guy with a boat horn on his car scaring the crap out of people. Think a short blast of that starting around 9 in the morning and running every 20 min or so (randomly) for a few hours might clue them in? I could even hide the thing in my attic and aim it out the vent although or even easier in the crawl space and aim it out a vent that seems like a lot of work. Maybe one night when I can't sleep I could work on such a project. Maybe I need to go over to West Marine on the way home on Monday.
