Default Who knows how to install a Endless BBK?

So who in here has the know how and equipment required to install a 4 wheel Endless kit here in the Bay Area?

I am getting close to possibly picking up a 4 wheel Endless kit and don't feel comfortable doing it myself. Due largely in part to a place to do it, proper way to lift and bleeding the brakes.

How much you DIY guys gonna charge me? I will help out as much as I can with with the install.

$7000 for brakes...and you wanna skimp on the install?

if you can afford those brakes, someone should charge you a grip to install them

it should be around $350 or so for install, or about 5% of the purchase price

EDIT: saw your other thread. if you want to pick them up in SoCal, drive down to San Diego and I'll install them for you free of charge

Free?? What's the catch? There's no way I could let you do it for free. I'd have to pay you something man.

I don't know if that's even possible though. How many hours drive is San Diego from LA?

no catch. i just want to work on some cars. it'll take 4-6 hrs and of course you'll need to make sure you bring pads and brake fluid. only catch is i assume no liability whatsoever after you drive away.

for your peace of mind...i installed my Stoptech 14" kit front/rear and I've been to two track events and daily driving and I'm still here posting about it

i'll have all required liability waivers ready for you to sign as well.

You're still here to post about it, is your car still in one piece too?

I read your thread about your Stoptech install and looks like it went pretty easy for you. I still don't know if I'm going with Endless or doing what my wallet says I should do which is the Megan kit. Kind of depends on whether or not the Megan group buy thread gets squared away today or Tommorow morning.

Possible I may not end up getting anything soon. Too many timing issues with different buys.

I will let you know. What days are best for you, weekdays or a Saturday?

I can buy either one. I'm just trying decide if I want to spend 7 grand on Endless brakes installed or spend $3500 on Megans installed and spend the other 3500 on something else. I have a fund of about 1500 a month I can do whatever I want with, like mods.

don't buy endless brakes. they are overpriced. you are buying the japanese name and the rights to join an exclusive club, nothing more, nothing less.

same goes for the tommy kaira shift ****.

if you are trying to stand out or taking your car to shows, than Endless might be worthwhile, but otherwise, buy from a company like Stoptech or AP who have a history of performance and testing of their products.

use the $3500 extra money for a roundtrip ticket to another country for a couple of weeks and enjoy your life.

A round trip would have to be by cruise ship, I don't fly!

This Megan buy is sounding kinda sketchy to me and I'm well aware Endless is overpriced.

I suppose a more logocal choice would be just find a deal on a blue Stop Tech kit, with slotted rotors. They're not that much more than Megans and I only plan to keep the car for 5 to 8 more years and spending 7 grand on brakes that I would later sell for a lot less, doesn't really add up.

I'll see what I can find on a 6 piston front, 4 piston back Stop tech deal.

By all means, if you have the cash, why not.

They're flashy and for show... they don't stop much better than factory brakes and are hardly noticable in the street. More of just that "better" pedal feel.

Sorry, I couldn't resist but it seems a little ironic that a brake company is called "Endless".

I forgot all about you. You seem to dissapear for long periods of time. PM me your price and the exact technique you plan to use to bleed the brakes. Sounds like the old school pump, hold down, tighten bleed screw thing. anyway let me know.
