Default Anyone work in a Mechanical Engineering company?

Hello, does anyone here work in an engineering company? I have graduated since December and still no luck on finding an engineering position. Any help will be appreicated.

Try to look in mortgage industry job. You'll have better luck.

Any of the following fit you? I work for a company that manufactures Specialty Surgery Tables. Pay is good & benefits are great and health care is still going strong in regards to job security. Fluency in Japanese and English both written and verbal get you majore points



Project Engineer (Mechanical, Level II)


Responsibilities: Project Engineer II is the advanced intermediate level. Works under general supervision and exercises a high degree of independent judgment on diverse and specialized assignments. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of engineering field.


Requirements: Ability to use CAD equipment. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; five to eight years of mechanical design experience with emphasis on product design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.






Mechanical Design Engineer (Bilingual Japanese and English)


Responsibilities: Design project mgmt and design of mechanical components for operating room equipment w/some electro/hydraulic applications. Interface with Production Department. Perform written and verbal translations. Receive and transport visitors from Mizuho.


Experience/skills/education: BSME or equiv. of related work exp., 3 years mechanical design exp. w/emphasis on product design. Solid model CAD exp. is req'd. Fluency in Japanese and English both written and verbal.

BSME? From where? We have quite few openings at our other plants (AL, NY, TX), but none at our locations in CA right now. If you had more experience, that would open up more opportunities. If you were interested in co-op/internship to start, that would also open you to more options.

I have my BSMS from Berkeley. I really want to stay in the bay area and I just don't know why it's so difficult to look for a job in these days.

Very simple answer...

Due to envirementalist & the high cost of property, Manufacturing jobs have moved out of California. Manufacturing makes up a big chunk of the engineering jobs out there.

We are always looking for new grad mech engineers here in phoenix. We do all mechanical systems for commercial buildings and high rise condos. pm me if interested.....
