Holy Shnikes! I expected this to be an "I got got arrested when..." story. Lucky son of a gun. You couldn't get away with that 1 times out of 1000. Maybe this guy was either pretty understanding, or maybe he is a push over, but most cops would have been like, "OK, then I'm arresting you, please step out of the vehicle." i don't have the ***** to talk to a cop like that.

I pull to the right lane thinking thank god this jerk is going to get nailed only the cop stays behind me. I pull all the way over and stop. He comes up and asks me

"Do you know why I stopped you?"

"No idea"

"Well you seemed to be pretty upset with the car in front of you and I didn't want to see a road rage incident. Could I see you license, registration, and proof of insurance please?"

This got a response of something along the lines of.

No you may not. You've got to be ******* kidding me!? Some jackass cuts me off, doesn't use his signal and you decide to pull me the **** over!? I got a car with a grand in damages from vandals and you idiots won't do your job and do anything about it. Then you got the ***** to pull me over for this ******** while you let the guy who broke the law keep on driving down the road. I'll tell you what pucker up and kiss my *** because I ain't showing you a god damn thing. Now if you don't mind I need to get to work. If you plan on detaining me any longer then you are going to need to arrest me.

He stood there for a second and then told me to have a nice day and walked back to his bike.

I was probably real lucky i didn't end up getting arrested but at the time I really just didn't care.

So about 7 years ago, I was driving a red 1996 Dodge RAM 1500 Sport. I was headed to a friends house and on the US 60 E noticed a white Bronco with 3 men following me very closely. I didn't know for sure, so I decided to get off the freeway at the last second to see if they followed. Sure enough they did and almost caused an accident to follow me.

So I turn right on Dobson and immediately flip a U at the next small light by MCC. They followed me. I was like 19 years old and had nothing for self-defense and these 3 men looked like they wanted to catch up with me in a bad way. I was thinking I'd get to my friend's house and we'd stand a better chance with he and his Husky to even the odds a bit.

I was cruising pretty fast during the middle of the day and they are following very closely and even ran a few red lights to keep up with me. I made a few unnecessary turns to try to find a public place to stop and get help, but couldn't find anywhere in that area (I didn't know the area well). So I decided to call the cops instead of leading these guys to my friend's house. I'm on the phone with dispatch or whatever and pull up to a red light. There is a cop car 2 cars back and to my left. I decide to go ask for his help, since I was on with Chandler PD and this was a Mesa squad car. Here is where the story goes horribly awry!!!

I put the truck in park, I hop out and I walk back to the front of the squad car and move across the front of it to speak with the officer. The 3 dudes in the Bronco got out and started moving toward me at first, so I thought they were right behind me. As soon as I was almost across the squad car I was suddenly body checked into the hood of the squad car and I felt cold steel on the back of my head. Someone yelled "Don't Move!" I thought to myself...either I fight the dude and possibly catch a bullet to the brain or I wait for this cop to help me. Instead of helping me, he is still in his squad car. I'm like WTF! Someone is holding me at gun point and this cop is oblivious. I was slammed so hard that my nose started bleeding pretty badly, so I know he felt the impact.

Long story short...it turns out the car in front of the squad car and 2 other cars behind me were undercover vehicles. In my excitement at seeing a cop to help me, I didn't even look at the other cars very closely. The guy that slammed me was an undercover officer from the car in front of me. He did not identify himself nor did I make any aggressive gestures. I also did not have any weapons. I was cuffed and thrown in the squad car and taken to a parking lot. No rights were read, no accusations made, and no explanation given. They took my wallet, cell phone, and keys and kept me in the car for about 2 1/2 hours while they waited on various officers from Chandler to come talk to them, since it was their jurisdiction.

When I finally dropped enough names and got to call my attorney (my dad), he got a few other attorneys on the phone and figured out exactly what was going on. Apparently, there had been a horrible crime against a very young girl (I think raped and murdered) the night before. Here was the description of the suspect:

Mid-40's (I was 19)
Brown hair (I have brown hair)
About 6'2" (I am 5'7")
About 200lbs (I was about 140)
Late model red truck (if 1996 was late model in 2001, then sure)

Anyway, the guys in the Bronco called it in because they thought I matched the description. The police did their job to a degree, but they should have identified themselves and are not allowed to use force and draw a weapon without cause (IIRC). I was pretty angry about the whole thing for quite some time, but I just let it go.

BTW, I saw 11 people that fit the description of the suspect better than I did, THAT DAY!

Uneducated-hilly billy-wannabe-vigilantes FTMFL!!!

yeah i would have been pretty pissed too. woulda been funny to call the cops about it. probly would have pulled over the undercover car cause they didnt know what it was. lol. then it would have been them

Similar story .. but my occured years ago. I was on the 101 parking lot heading towards the bay bridge. CHP slowly creeped next to me .. must of been a rookie cop .. I saw him slowing coming up. He got next to me, then blip'd his siren and lights. He got me for 15% tinted windows. Yes .. 15% ..
He pulled me over on the parking lot, backing up traffice even more .. just to give me a fix it ticket for 15% tinted windows.

Got pulled over a bunch of times on my 00 Red Celica GT. I don't even drive fast on it, I don't think I even can. It's an Auto 4 banger, lol. It's probably because of the Wings West body kit or something.

Pulled over driving in San Jose a few years back and the dude said "You don't look like you're from around here" WTH, it's a freeway, I was going to SJ State!! I told him I was from SF (License was registered there) and got an Apt. in San Jose. The jerk gave me a fix it ticket to change the address on my ID to match my SJ apartment. WTF!!???

Round 2. Got pulled over making a right and waiting by the intersection because there was a car that was 2 cars in front of me decided to double park and caused a traffic jam. Cop pulled ME over because I was stuck making a right??? He gave me a warning.

WTH....

Woot. I did the same haha...

Last Friday me and my friend were driving to Santana Row, him in his SVT focus & me in my Z. He took the lead since I didn't know the area well. When he took the lead he took off to <edit a high speed>, I instinctively followed, and next thing I know there's 50 that was on our 6... I was saying "oh ****, oh ****... we're fkd." I guess when I was following my friend, the cop got cut off by me or something because I see the crown vic' just about a foot from my bumper in the rearview, after we downshift to slow down... We took the exit, the CHiP kept going straight and flashed his highbeams as he departed us.

I don't know why he didn't pull us over. I'm thinking maybe it wasn't a CHiP and was a cop out of jurisdiction maybe? That or (s)he got spooked & bailed from being a foot from my bumper... if I'd have tapped my brakes that CHiP would've hit me

I got pulled over on Rt 3 in MA. There was a cop going 70 in the fast lane and I was following him a pretty good distance back. He pulls one lane right and slows down. Being the cocky MFer that I am, I continue going 70 and pass him. He pulls in behind me and flips on the blues. I make my way over to the shoulder right after a highway exit, but right before the onramp. I roll down the windows and put my hands at 10 and 2. He comes up to the window and angrily asks me why I was going 70. I say "I was just following you because I thought that you knew the speed limit. I thought we all had to follow the same rules." He says something about having a canine with him and that he is allowed to drive fast because he is in a hurry to look for a missing child. I ask him why he is wasting time pulling me over if he is in such a hurry to find said missing child. He gets pissed off because I've obviously poked holes in his logic and yells "Just go home". I say "Thank you officer have a nice day" but by that time he is already storming back to his vehicle. I pull back onto the highway and see him in my rearview driving across the median to get back to his exit. Fcking cops!

Long story short: 4~5 years ago, I was driving from Laredo to San Antonio, Texas, this was after a weekend of cheap Tequila, beer, and good Mexican food w/ a special "show" thrown in . I was hungover in my Altima, traveling at V-Max (~115).

Some 18 wheelers honked as I was passing them, but I took no notice. Next thing I know, I've got a trooper on my ***!!! So I slammed on the brakes (bad idea) and pulled over. Trooper walks up to my car...

Trooper: I've paced you for the last 10 minutes, after some truckers call you in. Now, what's the hurry?

Derek: Um.... I got called in from work for something very important.

Trooper: Your license & registration please.

Damn, we all know where this is going. But the trooper took 30 minutes and came back with a ticket instead of handcuffs!!!

Trooper: Sign here please, if you can't make it to court, you can call this # to just pay the fine. Slow down and be careful.

Derek:....(silence).... thank you officer?! (feeling like a million $$$ )

Thought I'd bump the thread with a recent encounter.

Four of us were hanging out by 680 and Calaveras exit, bull-sh!tting before we ran Calaveras. A sheriff charger drove by and saw us, he fipped a b!tch, and lit us up with the spotlights. He got out of the car, and said "What are you guys doing, just hangin' out?" We said "yeah, just got off the freeway." and asked him some questions about his charger. The one cop was all enthusiastic about it, and just stood there talking with us for a minute while his partner did the once over on our cars for visible illegal paraphernalia. They just said drive safe, and launched their charger - taking off full speed...lol

Turns out there are some cool cops afterall

Old thread bump, i was goin to make a thread about cop stories but then i saw this one.

anywayz today i was just cruising by and there must have been some sort of ceremony because someone had died so there was a long list of car and the cops were escorting them. In the distance i think i see a bike cop but i wasnt sure and when i saw him that ***** pulls out his radar gun while on this bike goin like 50-60 mph. that was a first time i ever saw a cop doing that. usually they are hiding or something but that was very mean *shakes head* lets say i was going fast, would he really turn around with all those cars cruising?
