Yuichi and I had the chance to check out an '04 yesterday. Some noted improvements are: 1.)There's this extension piece for the seatbelts that eliminated the clips which would sometimes cause the unwanted noise if it wasn't clipped in. 2.)There's a pull-out extension for the sun visors. 3.) The Navigation door thinghy no longer slides in, it just pops up and doesn't go in. 4.) The center console also looks different, don't know how to describe it.

I don't know why this is an improvement. A lot of peeps with no factory nav (does the 04 door with factory nav slide inside?) like to put their own Nav choice in, or gauges, controls or whatever in the compartment. I don't think they will like the door sticking out all the time.

I will be at Laguna Seca for a track day event on the 27th. I will be getting mucho rides in some Z's, at least one 350 with nismo cams, and my friends Porsche GT2. You guys should come to this instead. If some of you do come let me know in advance and I can get you in the GT2 for sure. I should make a thread about this.

Haven't seen an '04 w/ factory nav. I'm assuming that the door is the same on all '04s - doesn't slide inside.

'03 CS Track

I agree that following are improvements
1) Seat belt hold-extension - WOW!-
2) Sun visor extension

I disagree or felt indifferent about below
3) Navigation door - I actually like how the '03 slides in and out of the way
4) Center console - I couldn't tell the difference

I was very disappointed with the orange peel and paint quality in "all" 03/04 G35 and Zs! Sad to see that our paint is so mediocre, then again, I checked out the new BMW Z4s and it has the same paint problem.

I agree with (I forget his name with the new '04 Red Touring who had his car washed) that Lexus SC430 has one of the best paint finish in the market!

THe one thing i do like the Nav Door being up like that is during the daytime (Shade) but other that that.... i like the sliding in feature... why couldnt it be an option for both...

Does the '03's have that extra cigarette outlet near the passenger's feet? the '04s does... some one mentioned it wasnt on the older ones... (could be wrong)

I hope I can finally make one of these. I have 3000 tickets to turn in anyway so it would do me some good.
