Default Open Track Event Lagauna Seca

Sept. 27th & 28th.

I will not be tracking my car, though. I have friends with Z's and one Porsche GT2. My intent is to get as many rides with them as i can. I was planning on going the 27th but will do the 28th if you are going to the D&B lunch meet on the 27th. Basically it might be worth it if you want a ride in a GT2, I can get you in cause the owner is a very good old friend and he is a very, very good driver.
Let me know if interested, it's a good time.

Karma I'll find out. But you can track your car I know that. But you'll be paying some $. I don't know the details about that cause I didn't care. But the main thing I don't know is whether or not you are supposed to have gone to a driving school or something. But your in for the other thing.

Steve Laguna Seca Raceway, in Monterey, has a few open track events during the off season just like Buttonwillow or Thunderhill and other raceways do. It's basically the only opportunity people like you and me have to tear up a real race track. Laguna Seca is a great track. Their are different levels you can track your car in. Novice, intermediate and expert. If I did it this time I could only do the novice group or "Yellow Flag Group". Throughout the day they have Yellow, Red & Green sessions. Green is expert and I call them Greg sessions, Mr. GT2, he he. But the greens can go out in any session and the yellows can only go out in a yellow session, I think. I'm calling Greg on Sunday, tomorrow, for the lowdown to answer your Q's. But, of course, it will cost about 150 to 175 or so for one day. Their will be a lot of bad aZZ cars there and everyone I am hanging out with will have a Z, lot's of 240's and one 240, Greg's, with 300 HP N/A. Some 350's and they said one with Nismo cams that they just installed. They are very impressed with that one, but the install did take 15 hrs., D'oh.

I had dinner with Greg tonight and I asked about how to get on the track with your cars. Well, it's too late by now because all of the classes are full, so that is that. Now for Saturday I asked him when he will be arriving and he said about 7:30. But no one get's on the track before 11:00 and he is taking that first hour all to himself in his GT2 and 240Z. After that he will start to take riders. Bear in mind that these rides are free in case you are wondering. I am leaning towards going on Saturday. If I decide to go back on Sunday then I can do that too. I will probably leave my home in Morgan Hill at 10:00 and be there at Seca around 11:15-11:30. If anyone from North of me wants to meet me here and caravan I would be happy about that. So we get there and get to park with the other Z's in the group and the Porsche. We get rides in some bitchin cars including the most bitchin car in the entire field and we get to meet some new Z peoples and contacts. PM me if you decide to come so we can hook up. Bring water and a few pair of depends!!!!
