NorCal Autocross
My static ride height is about 25.2-25.3 in the front. I wouldn't go any lower...
In my opinion 25.5ish about the right ride height (or as close to corner balancing allows).

Those of you who didn't go to Oakland today missed out on this!

Dropped Shamu off for major first steps in my SP build. I ripped out 15 lbs of SP legal stuff today. Now will gain 35 lbs of cage, lose 36 lbs of seats.
Have my PPE ceramic coated long tube headers, lightweight flywheel, lightweight pulleys, AC delete stuff on the way to me!
I'm definitely changing weight balance of the car! Should good below 3000 lbs soon.

does anyone know how high water temps can go on our car before its "too high"?
im thinking getting a water temp gauge and throw it in my car too just to be safe but the one im looking at goes to 300 degrees F...idk if thats good enough or not???
anyone know??
oh and does anyone know how hard they are to install? what would I need to tap into?
for my oil temp gauge it was just a adapter on my oil filter so it was not that hard...just seeing if the water temp gauge will be super hard to install??

Fun track yesterday at Marina for the final UFO AX event of the year. I ran in the afternoon - did anyone else make it out? We did our 4 comp runs, then 5 fun runs. I love the RS3s, but dang I missed running the Hoosiers. I think I still netted 1st in class and 1st for the afternoon, and 7th or 8th overall. I like having to use 3rd gear!
Yes I made it out in the AM. Got second in DS at the event and 1st in DS overall
it was a fun course for my car with the exception of the last two turns...though Peggy gave me some tips about how to handle that stuff in a stock (roll & dive prone) car. On fun run 3 I managed to get the same time that the silver WRX got as his fastest during the competition. Not great, but still exciting for me.
Thanks for helping with UFO this year Scott. It was tons of fun.

Hopefully by the start next season I'll have some coilovers and sway bars on my car, but it could take a few months into the season for that to happen. Think STX or ESP. Both have almost 0 competitors though.
I'll be there for sure next season (until August anyway). I'm happy to take any instruction I can get, so definitely. Also, maybe next time we both have fun runs at the same time you can drive my car around the course?

So...I was offered an opportunity to drive the UMD FSAE car. Don't know why, but I declined...mostly because I was scared I would break something. 1st run of the event the driveshaft assembly breaks....very glad I wasn't driving when it happened lol. I'm hoping to get an event or two behind the wheel of it next season. That thing is nuts. I wasn't sure I could fit in it, but Sam Strano got in...
That car won national A mod right? UMD was one of the schools I was considering transferring to this fall from CC, but the out of state tuition would be a bad investment.
