can you do graphics? I think I am going to need a graphic artist in Feb. Photoshop, Quark, pagemaker, illustrater etc. Or anyone else who is into working for the state at a university. (Sonoma State in Rohnert Park). 8-4:30, 5 days a week and every holiday known to man.

fowlman - How extensive for the graphic design? They looking for someone with a degree? I do graphics all day, but am not a "professional" ... I work with Pagemaker, Illustrator, Photoshop and stuff like that, designing CD silkscreen layouts, and CD Jewel Case/DVD Case inserts for a CD/DVD Manufacturer.
Let me know if you have any more info

Most of the work is on mac's, but for obvious reasons we need to do more with pc's. I have both on my desk and the graphic artists have only one between them.
No degree is needed, just a very good ability to design, do file prep for output and supurb customer skills. The file prep is to several different types of digital equipment. The Reprographics department is a fast paced independent operation. We make our own money, so most of Gov Arnolds decisions will not effect us. We have our own offset printing facility and lots of very cool toys. Wide format (60") we do a lot of NASA stuff on that, high end color copiers and the printing presses. Pretty much what you would find in a offset printing company. We have two full time graphic artists. The position I would want to fill is a GAI (Graphic Artist I), so it is an entry position, but still requires a lot of skill. If you can design and know your way around computers I can overlook some of the areas were you may be lacking. I don't mind training as long as there is good potential. I won't know for sure about the job until Feb. PM me if you want more info.
