Default Bay Area carpool 3 persons

I travel to the bay area once in awhile and was wondering if our cars qualify to travel in the carpool lane even if it says 3 persons or more.
I dont have fastrak either. Thanks in advance.

I did try searching but did not find any answers.

I used to have to go there every once in a while, after a few trips of waiting in traffic for hours I came up with the brilliant idea of a pillow inside a sweatshirt works wonders in our car looks like a real person lol but it has to be a hoodie

it depends on the part..
some places are 2 people some are 3 people. since you have max occupancy of 2.. as long as you have 2 you are good to go..

Yup. Same goes for tolls that honor the car pooling. No toll if you have 2 in a Z. I went over a bridge one day in my G35 Coupe one day while headed to Thunderhill. I had the back seats folded down with 4 tires sitting there, and a passenger in the front. They nodded and let me go without a fee, not knowing it was a 4 SEAT Z.

Funny, but risky. You'd get more than one ticket if you got caught.

This is nice to know, we would not have taken the chance if I hadn't known this. I actually thought we were out of luck. Excellent info here.
