[Bay Area]: ZONC Apple Run/Meet & Eat
On 19 May, ZONC North Valley is having a Short Fun Run starting from Manteca over to Oakdale Cheese Factory and then to the renown Covers Apple Ranch for Mile High Apple Pie outside of Sonora. The objective here is a Meet & Eat after traveling on some very pristine Sierra Foothills country roads. Here, you can have a nice Saturday early drive, see some country, stock up on some super cheese and speciality pies and meet others in the valley. Flyer to folow. Follow http://www.zonc.org for more details and flyer.
UPDATE:
The 1st Annual Meet and Eat Cheese and Apple Pie Run hosted by the ZONC North Valley Area Representatives Team is 19 May 2012. Ready to have a great day, travel country roads and even eat your cheese and pie as well?
We will be meeting at the Junction of Highway 120 and 99 at the Uniroyal gas station at 0900-0930. Wendy’s is right behind the gas station and you will see me with the ZONC banner setup by my Z. From there, we will travel easterly along the country roads until we reach the outskirts of Oakdale. Here you will see the Cheese Factory on your left. Spending about an hour there, we will head on to Covers on Highway 108/120 and towards the historic township of Sonora. This route takes you along some very picturesque roads and scenery. Arriving at the Sonora Junction, we head off towards Tuolumne on Tuolumne Road and in about 10 minutes, we will arrive at Covers Apple Ranch. Here, you will have your taste buds teased and pleased. The entire distance is only 65 miles, one way. or 130 miles round trip. see you there!
