Want to drive a NISMO or HR Z on track
NorCal-ers,
I am in the midst of a pro/con of doing an HR swap on my 03' or selling it and buying a NISMO or HR Z to build for track use. Before I do this, I want to drive one of these Zs on the track and take data and video.
What I'm looking for is someone willing to let me rent/drive their Z on the track, preferably Thunderhill or Laguna Seca. I will provide brake pads and a wheel/tire combination. If it's a good session, I probably only need it for a single, 20-minute session. It needs to have minimal modifications to get a true baseline though, and although this is a request not likely to be fulfilled, I'd rather a NISMO since it has the aero, "seem welds" and "dampened steering" to really be able to consider the swap vs building another car.
Obviously my request comes with a small amount of risk, and I really need to flog the car at 98% to compare to my lap data. I could pay for the rental session(s), exchange for driver development, or whatever, but I really want to get some good laps in before indulging in this potential affair.
Thanks for considering!

I paid around $22K for mine CPO with around 46K miles and felt like I got a good deal after 6 months of hunting. CA is not kind to the buyer for the price of Nismos (generally sell quite higher than "regular" Zs of the same model year).

First guy that I emailed. . . his car is "back with Nissan" with "no end in sight". WTF? I found a lucky taker with a NISMO that is willing to let me perform my engineering statistical qualitative deducing doucheybag analysis. . . at a track that I'm very comfortable at and only has one wall. Ain't skeered!
