Default S tune suspension

I put on the Nismo S tune on Saturday, with the help of a friend at work. He did nost of the work.Freeman Nissan here in Santa Rosa wanted almost $700.00 to do it.

I like the ride a lot better, but have not had enough time to really push it to see what the handling charactaristics are. The Z is lower, but doesnt look that much different yet. It looks like it will clear most driveways straight on.

Thanks to yobri for turning me on to it, woogemooge for selling it to me and apharmdb for his tech advice along the way

Will post pics later.

So do you get a better angle of attack with the RPG launchers now Glad to hear you like your new setup. I would highly recommend a nice set of sways as your next upgrade- they really help tie up the suspension and make it much more responsive. I had my Tein's on for about a month before swapping the stock sways with the Cusco's. The new sways made a huge difference.

That was going to b my next step, but I am still looking at the sways. Cusco, Nismo, Hotchkiss they all seem to get good reviews. I also want to hit the 13's at the drags, so that has held up the install. I will be running the Z 3/17 after my Jim Russell lesson, so I think I can hit 13 and then accomplish that goal. Then on to the turning kind of racing.

Sweet! Can't wait to see the upgraded ride. Also can't wait to hear your impressions after you get a chance to push it.

Just curious before I get my foot into this new set up. With the stock suspension, tires etc. I lost the rearend twice without the kind of warning one would hope for. Will the coilovers and sways eliminate this? All I need is just a tiny split second warning that you are about to become totally out of control and I can get it back in shape. One incident was a buttonhook turn that had some driver error involved, but the second one was at high speed. I really don't like that. As far as I am concerned the Z should have given a small warning signal that I was too fast for the situation. The 280ZX's did the same thing. (hmm.... might be the driver) Scares the hell out of me. They recover very well though.

I know this should be in another section, but you guys are active there too.

I'm working into pushing the suspension gradually, my final test will be a cloverleaf up here that has a flat spot in it. My personal best so far is with a 65 Alpha Spyder. Exit speed of 72 mph, I think the Z is quicker, but need some more seat time before I try that one.

Yobri,
my last show is in Monterey this weekend, so sign me up for the RATB II

Hey Fowlman, Been thinking about taking a Russell Driving course as well. Let us know what you think afterward. Worth the money?
Or NOT?

It is worth the money. Not only had a great time, but they are good teachers. I was surprised how much I had forgotten and how many new techniques there are now. I would recommend it.
I am going to take the 3 day course so that I can get a scca license.
