Ok, looks like we're pretty close on split for nice lunch or nice dinner. So I'm going to make the decision for a nice dinner.

The total trip is ~171.9 miles one way.
We will have meeting points right off 101 (Near Coyote Creek) to get everyone together. I'm sure there will also be a SF meet point as well as the usually Fremont meet point for the East bay folks.
We will drive until we get to the end of 101, somewhere on 156, or somewhere on CA -1. I will look up some fast food joints. Hopefully they will be near each other so we can split up to make lunch faster.
After that, we will drive down to Hearst Castle. Do the tour. Stop by mating Seals & otters (for bz8) and then head back to Monterey/Carmel for dinner. If anyone have any suggestion for Monterey/Carmel dinner, post here. If I don't hear any suggestions, I'll just post 3 that I find and we'll just pick one from that.
That's basically the walk through for the day. I'm now gonna do some calculation of the time table and find the specific meet points and post a more detail schedule. PM or post here if anyone have any suggestions/ideas!!

Option 2: we can split the group up into two groups for dinner considering that we will have a fairly large group overall. Thus providing additional selection for 2 different restaurants & faster service.
Anyways, please keep sending suggestions for dinner, I'll be narrowing the restaurant list down to 2 soon. From that point, I'll need to bring up the attendant list again and would need a final count sometime next week (Friday 04/02/04 - 2 weeks prior to the event) to make reservations for dinner.

Ok, Here are the main meet and stop points on the way there. I will eventually summarized all of this in a single reply so it's easier to read.
Please make sure you FILL UP GAS the night before or before the actual meet time. Since Schedule is tight, we will not have time to get gas.
There will be an East Bay and an SF gathering points. Everyone will eventually meet up at the Starbucks/Safeway in Morgan Hills.
Please purchase your Hearst Castle Tour ticket for 02:00pm. All 4 types of tours have a start time at 02:00pm. If you do not plan on purchasing your tickets in advance, There are no guarantee that you'll get tickets at the door. Remember, you will be responsible for your own tickets.

If we could solidfy the itinerary for dinner, I could confirm my attendance... planning to find a hotel near the city where we eat to spend the night... Big Sur, Monterey, or Carmel.
