You should be watching, INITIAL D!!!!

Some others that are pretty good...

Evangelion (Cool, but messes with you head wierd)
FLCL (Fooly Cooly)
Macross Zero
Ghost in the Shell (TV series)
Naruto (It's freakin Ninja's!!)

I'd say the New Appleseed, but it's currently out in Japanese Theaters... maybe see it here in the summer sometime. BUT, when it does come out here... YOU MUST WATCH IT! Totally Wreaks of Awesomeness!!

PROJECT.. D!!

Yah I think the 4th stage of Initial D kindov sucks its too predictable.

I really love the series Naruto, its the most Kick @$$ anime out there.

www.animesuki.com

all the movies are there and translated. Only problem is you gotta use that crappy Bit Torrent program. I don't like bit torrent but its the only option.

I'm thinking of checking out some others cause i'm up to 81 on naruto and waiting for it everyweek is killing me!!

Woah... that animeforest.com is cool... kinda Netflix for anime...
I usually buy everything, or get them from friends...
Network Video in Burlingame is my usual Anime hook-up.
I just got the first part to Initial D fourth stage from them.

FLCL is just wierd... so weird that I likes it. The characters are cool, and i like thier personalities. People here at work really like it a lot.

i dont like bit torrent either... so i just rent and burn for myself... i use dvd shrink which compresses the data, but you cant tell the difference... quality is still excellant and watching it on a nice TV is more enjoyable...

If you're Asian and living in the Bay Area, it's a sin not to watch Anime

I haven't kept up with all the new stuff out there like Initial D, etc., but I am a bona fide veteran of the Anime scene. Akira, Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, Macross, Crying Freeman, Wicked City, Cool Devices, Twin Angels, Kite, Goldenboy, Venus 5, La Blue Girl... whoops, a bunch of hentai names got in the mix there...

And a nice collection of manga as well

I do have a thing for Japanese soaps/dramas too...

Initial D, Ranma 1/2, Gundam Wing, Gundam X, Gundam Seed, Macross, Inuyasha, Patlabor, Rarouni Kenshin.

Initial D saw the first 2 episode of the 4th Stage via Bit Torrent and it's pretty good.

Personal favorites include:

-Initial D both TV seasons, plus the movie is dope too
-Giant Robo (series) - animation quality and action is top notch
-Cowboy Beebop - Series is sick especially the final episode fight - movie really didn't do it for me though.
-Trigun - Pretty funny stuff with action mixed in
-Stardust Memories (Gundam series)
-Legend of the Overfiend.....OK maybe this one shouldn't be on the list......

You can't go wrong with any of these....well except LOTO, that sh*t was way disturbing.

Oh I will, especially now that I feel the 'peer' pressure going on here.... I don't wanna be left behind

My preference is movies as opposed to a series at this point (b/c of having to buy numerous discs in a series... and I only have so much money... ) What're the anime movie reco's out there?

man, I used to be so in to it, even started an anime club in HS.... it was during the era of poor VHS quality that have been copied like 10-20 times from original LDs with even worst fan subbed.... but it was anime and no one was selling it either... it was all worth it..

anyways, haven't kept up with the latest and greatest though... gonna take some of you folks suggestion and hop back on bit torrent/anime forest to check some more new stuff out!!
