Default Mt. Hamilton Drive!!!

Wsup Guys... My brother and I just got back from this long drive... Fun drive but too damn long... The twisties were fun at the 130 side.. but Mines Rd. wasn't as fun. We encountered many animals on the road... from a lost Cow to a bunch of Deers... then a fox crosses our path... alot of Horses also and a ton of damn huge birds... took us a little under 2 hours... Got tiring at the end... and we just got out of there before it got too dark...

and i thought Mt. Diablo was crazy...

Dave: Thanks for the directions...

Just thought i'd share

Did you happen to have an impromptu drift session like we did on Hwy. 1?

Did you go down the backside of Hamilton to Livermore? Dave and I have done that run a few times. Very fun, but long.

np

sounds like we need to start up the drives once again!!

let me go look for some more twisties.

Anyways, how about we start up with the simple one like calavares again? just to get warmed up, then the mt. hamilton.

since hwy9/35 tends to get pretty heavy traffic during the weekends (daytime), I try to avoid that if at all posssible.

anyone knows any other destinations?
btw, I think this was posted before but this site have alot of good info on twisties in Cali

Yea- the front side definitely sucks- bumpy and a bit too twisty. However the backside (from Hamilton to Livermore) is very nice. Mostly smooth, little traffic and much funner to drive.

I did the entire drive once at midnight, but didn't take Calaveras. I think I took some extension of Landess. But very fun. And yes, much more thrilling than Mt. Diablo. So when I saw this thread I knew I had to read!

Highway 9 is still the best for a quick jaunt; pity there's a Sheriff station right at the bottom of the hill.

Bobby found a place called Hicks Road that can be pretty challenging, especially following Bobby.

Bailey Avenue in Coyote Creek Valley is also mucho fun.

Sierra Rd near Calaveras is a great drive. Really remote and smooth last time I was there. Its narrow with no shoulder or guard rail with huge drops and some one lane action too. I never "drive" it alone.

Henry's fear of heights.

But yah, I don't much care for guardrailless one-laners, either.

you can't get a crossing yellow ticket on an one-laners
