Well, there will be two (2) old guys on that run. Grapes might be raisins by now. I think mine are still grapes though, don't know about zwindsor

OK, this has been fun now lets get back on track...this is a thread about driving not grapes....and fowl I'm younger so they ain't no raisins

I took a modified drive Saturday. This one worked out to 3 hrs straight drive time and 115 miles. So with a lunch, a little gambling and a couple of breaks....maybe 5-6 hrs total.

The only problem I see is parking at River Rock. I was there at 10:30am and the lot was almost full except for Valet. I talked to him about letting US park there (hinted a nice tip) but who knows about the actual day. If spending some time at a casino during lunch is something everybody is in to then it might be best to take the back way up to Middleton (one of Krinkov's suggestions) and eat/play at Twin Pines or Konocti then hit 175 for more fun.

Can I get a concensus on the gambling. Does everyone want to do it? Also we should all meet up at 9am that morning (site to be determined).

Gambling would be fun, but not if its gonna be a hassle to park. We could always work in Another casino, but I don't see it as a prerequisite. Its too bad River Rock doesn't have their new 7 story parking garage yet.

Twin pines, while it may be fun to drive to out on 29 ... is a pretty lame casino. Its a giant outdoor tent! ...

Either way, I'm game for anything...

What was this "modified" route you took, Bill?

Calistoga, St. Helena, Silverado Tr., 128E, Chiles/Pope, Howell Mt, Silverado Tr., 128N, Sonoma Lake, Dry Creek, Wohler (end). Make sense?

If we don't hit a casino I'm at a loss for a lunch stop along any route.

I'm not particular, going to a casino would be fun but if not, no big deal. All I care is that I'm not at the end of the caravan.. I tend to get lost easily

To be honest with you I don't think this is the drive for you. We'd like to have you along but you might be better off waiting for a Bay area drive. Most likely we'll end up in Hopland which is close to 2 hrs north of Napa. We're actually starting in Santa Rosa with a quicky through north Napa county.

I put 400+ miles on my Z for the Mystery Spot drive. I think the SoBay guys owe me one.

Which reminds me EVERYONE FILL UP BEFORE the drive. We had people running out of gas on that one.
